I'm not so sure Rooney will still be at OT after the summer.

Just a feeling in my gut.

agreed

i have to give some credit to kevin nolan. we'd be lost without his goals. and he has more in the league than torres. captain tugboat has become a term of endearment

A 2 game suspension for dropping the F-bomb? Especially under those circumstances coming from 2 -goals down at half time....The FA don't even try to mask their anti-Man Utd bias anymore. If I was Rooney, and Ferdinand for that matter after the way Capello treated him, I'd tell England and the FA to go fuck themselves.

...but I suppose at that level, the ego-stroke of playing for your country is too much to resist.

My 8 year old son said to me on Saturday...."OOOOOH Terry just said the F-word dad" Were's his fucking ban? This is crazy banning MEN for swearing. Why don't they just castrate them when they turn professional and be done with it?

It doesn't make you a man to curse but men do curse (as do women).

Right then, Shalke and RM go through!!!

2-1 for United this afternoon. Even the law of averages is on our side at this point, and it won't be an English ref so he should be reasonably unbiased.

(1) Spurs were downright embarrassing.  Said my spurs fan friend "we were all just so excited to have made the top 8 that we felt we were living on borrowed time.  Now, after that embarrassment, people will know we didn't belong here."

(2) The clear difference between cursing on the pitch a la Terry/Smith and what Rooney did, was Rooney stared right into the camera and directed his curse to the people.  I don't think it's a two match ban, but I could understand a one match ban.
