Well, I like both Grimes and EG, I didn't pay for their albums, and both sets will be short so can't really lose. Plus, I did see a random Youtube of a Grimes show and it looked like a really fun freak show.

Comet usually run very late. Depending on how long the Afghan Whigs play, you might be able to hit both.

I wish I liked St Vitus more-- they're OK, but I saw them at Deathfest this year and on the Metalliance tour last year (opening for Helmet) and I just don't need to see them again so soon.

<insert angry rant about Steve Lambert having no business booking a bill as good as the Frankie Rose/Cigarette show tomorrow here>

I will admit it is killing me to miss that.

Wish that I could see this!

Don't know if you are aware of this but David J's latest record is on Custom Made Music. That's the independent label out of Virginia Beach that puts out a few local bands like Ceremony (the Shoegazers), Screen Vinyl Image, The Sky Drops and Last Remaining Pinnacle as well as other Gazey bands such as Ringo Deathstarr, Black Nite Crash, The Tambourines and Pete International Airport. Very, very cool label!

I got a call at 4:30pm to DJ the Adam Lambert show, so with my phone and a handful of CDs 90 or so minutes of tunes played tonight.

Corin Tucker band were great last night!  I also enjoyed the opening band.  The guys said it was only their fourth show.  Surprised.
