i have been debating how to properly apologize enterally ever since i made that thread about the woman/marion barry connecetion/festival crash. that was the initial point of my post "what a shock", but i foolishly was acting like a idiot and fully deserved the term racist and the whathaveyous people poured upon me. my words mixed in the fact that yes, i do get pissed when some black people use the race card for what sometimes seems an opportune chance to get their way, but that was my one-sided opinion; perhaps controlled my the media outlets i've clung to all my life. it might be a completely wrong concept so i should of just kept my loose mouth shut. i do hate. i admit it. i hate certain white people for who they've become in the eyes of themselves and what they feel is correct under God, but not just a minority to ignorantly hate a minority . . . for i am one myself, and am routinely ostracized for it. maybe that is the root of my hate. see, i just saved $125 an hour at the local shrink.
so the long drawn out of a point to this thread was an attempt to make peace with the person i offended the most, the director217. i bought a ticket to one of my personal favorite bands, the polyphonic spree when they went on sale, thinking that it would eventually sell out and that i was going. but i am now going to another show earlier in the evening and can't attend because polyphonic was willing to cue an early show on a saturday (june 30th). i am willing to give you this ticket for free if you would like it. no strings or anything attached. you can still hate me if you want. but, i am just going to give it away free to someone on here anyway (check the ticket xchange) so i thought i would offer it to you first. if not, or if you hate the band, i understand, and the offer stands to whomever still feels i'm worthy of such a gift to give.

i wanted it to appear as a sincere offer; that i was willing to call out my assholyness and admit that the words of people on here were correct where i was wrong. i thought he'd blow me off if i just pm'ed him. plus i wanted to make the ticket aware to others if he does't want it.

It takes a real man to admit his mistakes, & I wasn't OVERLY offended, I simply saw a post that I wasn't willing to let slide. Anywho, you simply could have PM'd me, but the fact you did all this shows me a classy move on your part. I definitely accept your apology. I am moved by your gesture of sincerity. You're a good cat far as I'm concerned . . .

and the answer to the ticket question, my friend? care for a free evening on june 30th with an interesting band, even if you think you don't care for them. i've seen very few "extended garage efforts gone national" bands put on such an attempt at something that you've never seen before. i do remember though, that when they first came out, i thought their sound was ripping the flaming lips. if you would like it, it's yours.
and there is still plenty of time for me to get the thing to whomever wants it. thanks for putting up with my posts. they will continue, i fear . . . but i have learned to process the mind around what is created confusion and what "real" wants from us all.

Yeah! How dare you use this forum as a springboard for your personal political beliefs. Where do you think you are, Washington DC?
This bboard is soley meant to drum up business for the club. Nothing more can be tolerated. As you know, normal close-minded people can't take the slightest criticism. You might offend someone. Where do you think you are anyway, Washington DC? If this were a forum in a contentious modern city you would be free to express yourself. But as it is located in the internet hinterland, you are required to be circumspect. Watch yourself. Police yourself. Police your thoughts.

but i don't like the police. except for stewart of course

seeing how thedirector217 gave no responce that he wanted the free ticket to polyphonic on june 30th. it's up for grabs to members. one has already asked, so i might just go ahead and give it to him.

I bet he's not into polyphonic spree :)
So... thanks for the tix??!

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. It's been dumb busy here at work, plus I haven't even packed for Bonnaroo & I'm leaving in about 3 or 4 hours. After much deliberation, I will have to respectfully decline your invitation. I have to DJ that night. Once again though, I apprciate the offer. Maybe we can get up one of these days & chop it up over a beverage or four. :D As a show of no hard feelings though, I left a nice lil' present for you in your PM box . . . . :D
Be easy, fam. Peace . . .

thanks for the gift!! enjoy bonnaroo . . . i'm as jealous as all hell.
