Awesome...although I'm more psyched I warranted my own thread.

I just started a new job (well, a month ago) and it's keeping me busy as hell.  I miss you all!

i fear that someone will be killed when they test this thing.  putting fashion before function isn't a wise thing to do when solid-fuel rockets are involved.

WTF? Last time I checked, I'm the one around here with a Star Wars-inspired handle.   :p

I'd already seen this anyway. Hope they post video of the "flight."

Dude, we're talking about a homemade, 21-foot long X-wing that really flies (and also has R2 built right in).  This conversation is already nerdy enough without you bringing up safety precautions and solid-fuel rockets.

sorry, my bad.  i forgot to suspend my understanding of physics  :p

apparently i also suspended my basic reading comprehension skills, i glossed over the part about not actually putting passenger in this thing when they test it.  it's the fact that it's made of wood that makes me nervous.

NERD ALERT: If they were smart, they'd put a Biggs Darklighter mannequin in that thing when they tested it.
