Title: Hell, I'd let Isaiah Thomas harass me for $11.6 million
Post by: Charlie Nakatestes, Japanese Golfer on October 03, 2007, 09:12:00 am
But seriously, why isn't this guy getting fired along with Michael Vick? So many morons associated with professional sports...

If you sexually harassed someone at your job, your company wouldn't fire you?

Becuase, for one, Isiah won championships and was one of the top names in basketball for close to 10 years. But mostly, it's because he's just so cute and soft-spoken and seemingly innocent like a fawn. Everyone (except those in Portland, Chicago and Boston) loved Isiah, and he never came across as too Iverson for the white folks.

Shit, Isiah Thomas was one of the dirtiest players in the NBA when the Pistons were on top. Fair play to him, but I can't stand how he'd always flash that sweet smile and act all aww shucks about it. He's a killer, no matter how many times he kisses Magic Johnson.

Ugh, I just wish I could stop hearing about Anucha Browne Sanders. This woman has the most annoying-sounding name since Joey Buttafuoco. Good for her and her millions of dollars though.

Someone calls her a bitch and tries to get in her pants and she pockets millions of dollars!!! Might be good for her but it's certainly bad for society. Fucking lawyers, I hate the twats, smackie excepted of course.

BTW, what was she expecting taking a job in a male dominated sports franchise? I would avoid hiring women if at all possible because of money grabbing bitches like her. I just wish men could sue for being put under pressure to bring shit for 'pot-luck', buy crap at 'tupperware lunches' or be pressured into ordereing overpriced girlscout cookies. It's gone too far. You can't say to a female co-worker "how are you doing' becuase if she accuses you of saying "hew yew dewin" she banks coin big time, and it's your word against hers. One of the women in the office told me I had lovely aftershave on the other day, imagine what could've happened had I said to her, "you have lovely perfume on today"????? chaching $$$$$$$

Holy shit!  I didn't think anyone still thought this way.

I (female) applied for a job with the Redskins. Their building is a normal corporate office and had a number of women working there. It never once crossed my mind that I should "expect" to be sexually harassed if I took the job.

Besides, if Dan Snyder said anything remotely sexual to me I think I would just burst out laughing rather than be offended.

If you really wanted the job, you should havehad backseat sex with a player and, later, his cousin (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2007/09/25/2007-09-25_msg_intern_had_backseat_sex_with_stephon.html).

I think you missed my point....what is 'sexual harrassment'

Hey, if you want to leave early on Friday, how about a quickie at lunchtime = sexual harrasment

I like  your dress = not sexual harrasment but could become a lawsuit.

No I agree with you on that. Just not the fact that women entering a male dominated field should expect to be harrassed, or that girl scout cookies are overpriced.

You don't think if the Knicks fired Thomas that it's a tacit admission of guilt? They're appealing the verdict, they need to keep up the "perception" he's innocent.

And Michael Vick got fired when?

Right. He's just suspended indefinitely. The Falcons owner said. "We cannot tell you today that Michael is cut from the team,? Blank said. ??Cutting him may feel better today emotionally for us and many of our fans but it is not in the best long-term interest of our franchise.?

How much are those things now? $3 a box? The same cookies that are 89c in your local supermarket!! except for samoas, you can't seem to get those anywhere other than the girlscout mafia, so that's a monopoly they have going on that scam.

It's probably good.  I mean look at it - you're a sports loving, music going fantasy sports playing chick with a gambling habit that likes the number 69.

You're one fanatical soccer team away from being me with breasts.

On second thought, maybe this isn't good.

Wow!  How knuckle-dragging of you.  I can't believe you feel like that in 2007.  Were you accused of sexual harrassment in the past, Mankie?  Have we touched a nerve?  Did it have something to do with your OCD/urinating situation?

Where's the love, Mankie?  WWMD?  Huh?  What Would Morrissey Do?

I think he wants to ask you out on a date, 6949.

Unfortunately, she's an Eagles fan so she's probably prone to a LOT of self-pity.

P.S.  Whoever said it is right, though.  The funniest part of the whole trial was the intern/limo incident.  Anything involving Starbury is comedy gold.

I'm going to do much better at next year's fantasy football game now that I understand the logistics.  For example, I can't pick players based on their looks (ahem Matt Leinart) or if we went to the same college.

And I don't think we'd agree on music. Last two shows I went to were Three Days Grace and Aerosmith.

Nope, never been accused of sexual harrassment. I just think that sexual harrassment laws have gone too far, and I don't want to have to be walking on eggshells in the workplace in case I say something that some woman can cash in on and cost my employer millions....and if you think it doesn't happen, you're very naive.

Case in point, not 1 hour ago a female customer came in and was being assisted by a female sales associate. The customer had an obvious boob-job and was quite proud of them going by the top she was nearly wearing. The female sales associate made a comment about her rack and the other female sales associates all had a good laugh about it, making comments of their own....not one of the male associates uttered a word. WHY?

When Tom Brady hosted SNL they did a great bit on this.  Basically when the creepy guy hit on Tina Fey and Amy Poehler it was harrassment and when Tom Brady did the exact same thing it made their days.

If the parties involved in the Isiah case were more competant (Isiah, Dolan, and Anuscha - who I don't doubt threatened the suit when faced with being made redundant) and the organization wasn't run in such an amateur hour fashion, it never would have come to this.  I guess the end result is a 'lesson' for corporate america.  And another opportunity for us to watch Isiah smoothly deflect a grade-a f*ck up on his part and keep Dolan in the palm of his hand despite all logic.
