Title: Radiohead - how much would you pay?
Post by: Frank Gallagher on October 10, 2007, 02:30:00 pm
This statement sums my feeling about them up exactly. Solo work excepted because I never heard it.

"Like their last three albums (and Thom Yorke's solo work), I will probably listen to it a few times, feel that there must be some greater artistic excellence that I'm not fully appreciating, then forget about it."

I wouldn't go that far. Their last 3 haven't been the apex's that the 3 before were but they're still above-average records. I listened to Amnesiac and HTTT more then "a few times" and will no doubt do the same with In Rainbows. In Rainbows, though, seems particularly bland after 2 listens.

Hey, where's the love for "Pop Is Dead?"  I LOVE that single.

P.S.  I also LOVE "Country House" and "Stay Together."  Two other "singles-by-mid-90's-British-bands-that-they-are-embarassed-by."
