awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are amazing. Won't miss a chance to see them live.
-
Lots of you folks'll disagree with me but the cult are one of the most forgettable live acts I've ever seen. Twice I saw them and both times they left me feeling kind of blah and I barely remember either one. Maybe they've gotten better over the last 20 years.....
-
If the tickets are too expensive (like just about everybody else, my wallet will be thin in March) I'll definitely try to go.
-
chaz you are right, in their 90s heyday they got pretty lazy. theyve improved a lot since then. they added a second guitarist which made a big difference in sound.
-
I only saw them once, at Lisner in 85 (god I'm old), but it was a great show. Plus, the girl I was with was writhing in her seat at the sight of Ian Astbury pacing around the stage, acting like she was going to have an orgasm right there at the show. So that was pretty memorable, too.

Is it possible for you to eliminate one of the hyphens in your name so it doesn't screw up the board display? My old eyes are getting really tired being asked to veer right, then left again, to read posts.
Maybe the hyphen (or dash, if you prefer) after Professor would do the trick?
Or are posts appearing funky because I am on a Mac? If so, nevermind, disregard this post.

its your Mac, trash it.
:)

Story of my life. Everything I like sucks in some way. ;)

These shows were 86-87.

I wonder if Matt will be behind the drums like the last time they came around?
-
Arlette, you asked nicely, therefore it is done.
-
I'm with Chaz. I saw the Cult in 87 and they were lame, lame, lame. I had actually likes their early recorded stuff, but live...big thumbs down.

I think that says far more about Metallica fans than it does about The Cult.
-
The Cult are play at Key Club @ Morongo in Cabazon, California on 03/05/06 and they are asking $75 for general admission tickets and $95.00 for VIP Tickets. I hope that they are not this greedy when they come to the 9:30, if so they can eat it.
-
Sonic Youth got showered with garbage when I saw them open for Neil Young mear my hometown.

If Bloc Party were to open for Clap your hands say yeah I would set the stage on fire.
-
THE CULT can have some lame live shows.
But---sometimes they're on fire and there is no doubt that there is a solid bunch of songs that are awesome.
So.. it's worth the risk UNLESS the tix are high priced... Then it's not a good deal

Thank ya HERR DOOM!

Yeah Ian is kind of a preening twat sometimes....and that whole Doors of the 21st Century thing was pretty reprehensible.

I think Rich-WDC hit the nail on the head.
