Anybody else going? I'm not going to encourage anybody to see one of my favorite performers, since I don't want it crowded there.
-
I'll be there. First time seeing him.
-
Maybe.
-
I wonder if Earlimart will draw a crowd? Or are they just indie rock nobodies at this point.
Wonder if I can pay and get my hand stamped at 7:30 and come back when doors are open at 8:30?
-
I was considering going just for earlimart, so who knows....
-
Crap. I didn't even realize Earlimart was playing. I just picked up Treble and Tremble over the weekend. Love it. If I had planned better, I would go :(

Yup.
I'd like to check out Earlimart as well.

Who is the headliner?
-
Bobby.
And I'm sure he won't mind if you request "What Difference Does it Make?" or "Cum on Feel the Noize".

Nobody gives one iota for no Bobby Bear junior!
-
apparently bobby bare jr. has some involvement on the upcoming silver jews album. i think "upcoming silver jews album" is fighting neck and neck with "new hour of twenty-four" as far as four-word phrases that get me most excited go.

Huh. I thought the calendar reflected differently earlier.
Sucks about no more reservations for the cafe.
-
Bobby Bare Jr. tore the balls off of Iota. I wish I had stayed for a hug.
Earlimart, they were rather generic and mundane.
Good Night.
-
I came for Earlimart who was great.
I stayed for Bobby Bare, who was also great.

I found it interesting that more people were at the club for Earlimart. I was also glad though because it cleared out nicely and was less crowded for Bobby, but still considerably more crowded than when I saw him there 2 years ago. He seemed to be in his cups a bit with the Jack and coke, which gave for some great crowd banter. I did stay for a hug from him, as well as a great picture. All in all the show rocked and the blistering version of "Monk at the Disco" was incredible.

No, there was plenty of smoking around the club.
-
Probably Earlimart fans. :D
One skank behind me blew smoke right in my face. Real classy.

Now I don't feel so bad that I missed it.
I can't stand when I'm trying to enjoy a show but have to fight to breath, watch my moves so I don't get burned and then end up going home stinking sober and still get sick. In fact, I've found that I tend to drink less in a smoke saturated environment because it makes me so sick that I can't stomach the alcohol added to my system.
