I am wondering what the reason was for increasing the 9:30 Club parking lot fee from $7 to $10. That's a big jump. And as a frequent concert-goer, it hits me hard. If I go to 30 9:30 Club shows this year, it would mean an extra $90 for parking.
And before anyone jumps in, please spare me the "park on the street" comments. I do that when I can.
Isn't there some kind of "Frequent Parker" card that could be worked out?
-
eesh. +$2 service fee. Is there a $3.95 fee on top of that?
Oh this makes me sad. I always enjoyed the "average" price of parking at the club. I always end up paying the additional fees. So, I've basically paid approx. $14 each time I pay to park...now $17. Oy. this is not good.

You know what could be a cool idea? A parking coupon book, so you could buy, say, a pack of 10 parking passes from the club's box office (thereby avoiding Tickets.com fees), and use them to pay for spaces over the next few months/year.
The catch is how you'd make a parking reservation for which you'd later pay with a coupon -- I can see some folks taking advantage and making reservations they never use.

doesn't that make it, in some cases, more expensive to park than actually see the show?

other than some of those $1.01 shows, i don't really remember paying under $10 for a show in years. i think coldplay was $10. atari teenage riot was $8 i think.
-
wow..that is a big jump! any comment from folks from the club?
-
Hmmmmmm, I would say Seth has his eye on that 27ft yacht he's always wanted.

took you guys long enough to notice
fact is, it should've gone up at regular intervals, as the costs have
at $1 a year, that would be $12 right now
but since we are the generous folk that we are, we couldn't bear to ask you, the public, to share in our economic quandry
so we only raised it to $10
we are considering, however, some kind of Walk Of The Stars, from the lot to the club, exclusive to our Parking Patrons

When in doubt, blame it on George Bush.

I used to park in a lot (not that one though) when i had a fancy ride....cause ppl like to try and break in.
-
Luckily I only have an 88 GMC pickup and park next to much nicer rides than mine. ;)

'Tis true, it's been $7 for a few years now while other lots are $10 and up....However, $2 is a fair fee online...any chance cutting the extra $3.95 fee that is ontop of that?

I really don't see what the big deal about parking on the street is. We've never had any problems. But hey, those that pay to park, continue to do so so I can have my street spot.
