Okay, I have determined that when someone claims to be male on the web (or in chat groups) they usually are, female, you have to wait and see.

Dupek let me see his ebay address, he seems to buy male clothes. You could contend that he is a crossdresser/butch/buying clothes for his partner.
Personally, I believe Dupek is just Dupek. You should try chatting with him sometime. He is cool.

I have never had this happen. Never. Though I've heard of a few cases where guys (for whatever reason) pretended to be sexy females who then flirted with males. One in particular was pretty funny. Some guy enticed some guy in a Canadian room with all sorts of sexy talk about her mini skirt. Then he convinced the other guy to watch (him) on his webcam. When the other guy clicked on to view, it turned out to be some guy wanking off. To make it funnier, the wanker kept following the other guy from room ro room, all over the world. LOL. I thought it was pretty funny but glad something like that didn't happen to me.
BTW Sir HC, I'm all woman, online and offline.

Back in the day I had a friend who ran a BBS out of his house so he knew everyone's real names. We occasionally would watch his screen and harrass people on-line, and he would inform us of which were male and female, and there are not that many men named Nancy or Sue. Was weird to watch.

On a similiar note, I find that when using the name Jaguar, many people assume, before they get to know me, that I am male. On a number of occassions, some guy would be very arrogant with me and try to fight me. When he finally finds out that I'm female, his whole tone would change and then he'd try to flirt with me. It's really rather funny to observe. Kind of intersting too to see the difference of treatment based on others' assumptions.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of those females were scared and posted as males thinking they were safer that way. You know, all those evils of the internet legends that go around.

I had to spend most of the day up in Baltimore, visiting a sick relative who is in the hospital. Afterwards I stopped at Arundel Mills and caught KILL BILL. I live about 90 miles from Baltimore, so much driving was involved. BTW, I'm a he-man, and not a she-beast. And I've never met anyone from the net in meatspace. Sorry to hear about the sick relative. Wow, you must live pretty much to Fredricksburg. You have probably met several people from the net in meatspace but just didn't realize it or kept the knowledge to yourself...

Thanks. BTW, I live on MD's bucolic, inbred 'Eastern Shore'. But when I was but a mere sapling I lived in Springfield, Woodbridge and Quantico. I guess I consider myself somewhat 'local', although Baltimore is the city I am most 'at home' in. I recently drove thru old Woodbridge. Wow, it really expolded, as did Springfield. When I lived there the metro was but a pipe-dream. And not just to Springfield, but the whole metro period. Construction had just started!
I'm starting to sound like Abe Simpson.
