Has anybody seen this coupon in the City Paper? Has anybody tried to redeeem it?
I went into Matress Disc. in Fairfax and tried to redeem the free pillow coupon, and the guy told me I had to go to the store in Arlington since that store was closer to GMU (not! GMU is in Fairfax).
When we pulled away, he was closing up shop six minutes early (slacker), and my lovely wife, who had been waiting in the car while I went into the store, yelled at him, "Thanks for the pillow, ass!"
-
And the point of this thread is......???
-
A pillow in the store is better than two on the bed.
-
Rhett likes a good, soft pillow to sit on when he's lounging around in the nude.
-
I'm wondering if they really are giving away pillows, or if it's a scam to get you into their store.

I must say that I'm pretty disapppointed in the general lack of wittiness surrounding that retort. It's not really up to the standards you both have proficiently displayed on this board.
A simple change - to something like:
"Thanks for nothin',...fuck face!" would have been so much more dramatic & likely would have provoked an *interesting* response. Maybe even gotten you the pillow.
-
Or we coulda spit on him...
:D

agreed.
unfortunately, I wasn't at the top of my game (had a headache, too full stomach and was feeling fearful of the night's next stop)...and I just noticed the fucker closing up shop as we were already driving away, so I just yelled the first thing that came to my brain
