I like Conan but I don't like The Polyphonic Spree.

Last night I saw The Strokes on Conan. They were okay but if you didn't see it, you didn't miss anything. Or you can see them again on Tuesday night doing a different song yet I'm sure it will seem like a rerun of last night's performance. Same with the following Tuesday and the Tuesday after that.

Letterman's much more watchable, IMHO.  Whats a ginger tosser, BTW?

I think it's that cult thing. And they are just way too happy all of the time. Sort of like a bunch of psychos inviting you over for a feast of poison laden foods.

I think I get it now.  It must have something to do with hair coloration.  Nothing like a Dwarf tosser...

Dammit! I'm mad that Bridget the Midget isn't really a midget.  I feel cheated.

They do seem to have an endless supply of happy pills.I think the communal vibe they got going is great, and very rare. It's usually a major pain in the ass just getting 3 or 4 members to get along for any extended period of time, especialy on the road.I for one admire them for that and wish them all the best.I'm sure it's too good to last long.I just can't help but to feel uplifted myself after a few of their tunes. Thanks for answering, seems people either really like them or just don't at all.Doesn't seem to be any middle ground, have yet to hear a reply on the lines of "their ok".The multi instrumentaion is what hoooked me though.

Yup, the cult converted me this past summer..I went into the show with ZERO expectations and was totally carried away...

 *kill kill!* whoops...

I saw a 'snippet' of that spree band on the telly. I thought it was a toothpaste commercial to be honest.

Here's another ginger toss-pot by the way.

I tried to watch Letterman last night and couldn't (this from a longtime Letterman watcher).

I started watching Jimmy Kimmel and will never go back.  The Guest host idea is brilliant and makes for something different every week.

And his musical guests have been better (Ima Robot, The Sounds, The Rapture, Tenacious D...).

The week Tyson was co-host was unbelievable. That guy had tears running down my face with laughter. he so crazy.Andy Dick was pretty funny wrestling the champ the other night as well. And best announcer ever.Andy Milonokis.Had the addy to his website a while back and it had me in stitches.
That kid is gonna be a star.

Letterman is too deeply embedded in his own ass. When it comes down to it, the musical guest will tend to determine whom I'm going to watch, if anyone at all.

Leno is a complete ass but I do love his Jay Walking bits and the Fruit Cake Lady. That woman is nuts!!! She's me when I'm old older instead of just older.

Letterman's the best of all the late night hosts.

The "George W. Bush Joke That's Not Really A Joke" series is top-notch humor.

Based on host only, Letterman is the only one I would make a point of watching if I kept such late hours.

With all the others, if they had a guest/musical guest on I liked, I would tape it and skip ahead to the guest.

I loved the week Snoop was on too.  Between him and Tyson I never laughed so hard at late night television.

But yes, Andy Milonakis is hysterical and will be well trained by Carolla and Kimmell to be a great comedian.  The clips on  his site (http://www.angrynakedpat.com/network/icf/index.php) are great.

I gave up on those shows and only watch the Daily Show with John Stewart.  Beyond funny.  For the Iraq situation they have the card that reads "Mess o'potamia".  The writers and other people involved are the best.  That is the show to watch.

The Daily Show and Jimmy Kimmel are the only two "five nights a week" shows that I have a season pass for on TiVo.  Brilliant comedy on both ends of the spectrum....
