Title: Citizen Cope
Post by: Charlie Nakatestes, Japanese Golfer on August 31, 2004, 03:27:00 pm
So why is this guy topping KEXP's otherwise good charts?

Doesn't he suck, or am I totally wrong?

Has he got a new album?

 I thought he was OK.

something called "The Clarence Greenwood Recordings" (that's his real name). Won't be released until 9/14, but KEXP appears to be playing the hell out of it.

I don't really remember much about his first album, other than not really caring for it.

Cope is definitely the goods.  Sort of like a lighter, more balanced, much more talented Everlast.

Live, he is ten times as good though, which is why I fear he'll not catch on with the studio stuff.
