since the summer is looking a bit dull for shows, particularly in july and august, why not liven things up ALOT and bring the chemical brothers to dc for a two night stand at the 930? (please, not nation like last time!)
and how about thievery corporation as well? they are a dc band that is playing just about everywhere in the world, but dc!
i am looking forward to the fixx, and also femi kuti in july though.

i've mentioned this once before, but the all time greatest show that could happen this summer, or of all time non-summer or any summer in-between, would be:
pink floyd "final brick in the wall" tour . . . at RFK. not mci, not nissan or merriweather, or even my beloved dar, but RFK, baby. have that disco ball come out of the ground again, and portray the wall around the inside rim of the stadium, while laser beams (not sure if d.c. would allow that anymore) make you wish it was those days of paper sunshine all over again.
please take me to heaven now!!

The B-52's or The Go-Go's at the club would make for some nice summer fun.
Even better would be The Stones at the club this fall.

Plus having the whole stadium in Q-Sound like they did for the Division Bell Tour was pretty sweet too! :) There was plenty of paper sunshine at that show. I remember that's when I was first introduced to Jimmie's Chicken Shack out in the parking lot. They played with two other bands (Next Step, and one other I can't remember..go figure) with a power generater running down by the river.
1994 was alot of fun!

I'll second the Chemical Brothers/Thiever Corporation (non-DJ) requests, and would like to add Cornershop to the mix.
Also, if that Weezer/Foo Fighters tour is real, I'd love to see that at Merriweather (930 isn't realistic).

I have no clue. They released a single last year and I haven't heard hide or hair about what they're up to or if they're going to tour since then. Their website hasn't been updated in over a year and their message board is zero help.

well those were strictly dream lineups.. Roddy hasn't done much touring outside of the UK. Since 2002 he's done 30 shows. Although it's promising to see dates for this year with two in Japan at the Summer Sonic Festival. And how is this for a one day lineup and it's like the third stage...
THE LA'S
TEENAGE FANCLUB
THE ORDINARY BOYS
RODDY FRAME
DEATH CAB FOR CUITE
LITTLE BARRIE
CAESARS
BE YOUR OWN PET

what about Love and Arthur Lee?

hmmm don't know who i'd paid them up with... Detroit Cobras... The Greenhornes... The Sights... The High Dials.. Lloyd Cole
Wish The Beautiful South would surface here, "Don't Marry Her" has become welded between the ears. Does TBS even have a female singer anymore?

Morcheeba with New Single and Singer (http://www.echo.co.uk/morcheeba/video/morc002-http_100.wmv) which of course is confusion... like the new song kind of pyschedilic soul, new singer has interesting voice... but she has big shoes to fill

You can add The Coral to my list... (see just announced)
