Some parents are very rude.
The 9:30 staff is very patient.

if the Jamarama Kidsfest hadn't sold out, i would have bought tickets for my parents to go to it. afterwards, they might have let me come to the 9:30 club a bit more. maybe.

No shit!
I learned that from teaching.
It always amazed me when we would have a graduation or some special assembly to see that many of the parents were often worse behaved than most of the students.
No wonder my job sucked so bad!

I hope they all got treated to a nice stiff drink afterwards.

As a teacher, I see parents all the time. I'm not saying that all parents are morons, but its not like the old days, folks. I don't know where or when the mentality started - parents acting obnoxious for the sake of putting their offspring on a pedestal. Anyway, what the hell is Jamarama Kidsfest?

oh oh oh oh oh oh Pleaze send pictures to ihearttwinkywinky@wiggles.com

Forget being a parent - some people are very rude, period. I saw some lady giving an earful to someone from the club because of the crowding. We were there with our little one and yes, it was crowded. It was a sold out show with everyone sitting on the floor. What did you expect?
Miserable assholes breed miserable assholes.

Yes one particularly nasty group of mothers I encountered had the whiniest most unhappy group of kids in the joint!

a woman stole a shirt from merch after cursing our merch guy for not accepting credit cards. she did this with her child in her arms. gotta love a good role model.
i had a lot of fun with the kids. maybe we could make the parents wait outside next time?
i told several people yesterday that we were actually pretty well prepared for this event. drunks and toddlers have a lot in common.

Did any of the kids look at you and start sobbing uncontrollably?
Oh, I saw you outside of DAR before Bright Eyes but I didn't want to introduce myself as "Julian, faux celeb porn CONNISEUR, from the internet message board" since you appeared to have a female with you.

nope. not a one. kids and animals tend to like me. adults are the ones that give me trouble most of the time.

i didn't have any females "with" me that night. i was working. i might have been doing some "customer service" at the time you saw me, though. for future reference, any female that would be "with me" would have no problem with any porn or interweb comments, so don't be shy.

Oh, well, she was standing next to you for a good 5 minutes while I was in line, so I didn't want to risk it.
By the by, I'm not one to complain, but the older lady working the doors was a complete moron. She shut one door and told all of us to go to the door to our right, then after letting 4 people in, shut that door and told us to go to a different one. Then we got to the front and she told us there were seperate lines for ticketfast and hard tickets. This was not posted anywhere. Complete mess, and the lady acted incredibly unprofessional.

thanks for the input. part of what i was doing over by that door was watching how the dar staff handled things. i noticed all of the door opening and closing, and a lot of confused people. i'll pass your experience along.

If I may add a comment about DAR, I had a similar experience at The Pixies.
