I knew that Coldplay tune would knock you on your ass.  Smackette thought the same thing "They're not really going to play Coldplay are they?"

You forgot to mention George Lucas, by the way.  Completely over the top.  Though his acting was terrible, his lines were classic.

How good did Julie look in the swimsuit?  I should point out that she's 36 and from the OC in real life.

And Kirsten, Sandy needs to put the smackdown on you....

But seriously, there's no way George Lucas went to his prom, right?  If you put it on mute and read his lines via Closed Caption, it's really funny.  Dropping the American Grafitti reference, "Did you go to prom? 'No, I stayed home and sketched Ewoks'" - hilarious stuff.

Haley's back next week.  Yummy.  Not the Return of Alex, but close.

Smack, my thoughts exactly about Julie...didn't know her exact age..but what a body!!! you can stand on the corner of Wisonsin & M a whole afternoon and not see a girl 15 years her junior with that body...what a MILF!

George Lucas needs to rethink the way he shaves his beard..it seems as if he has no neck but just a wobbly piece of skin dangling from his chin...

Kiki seems to be looking older this season..maybe she's gotten skinnier...she also has a weird mouth..tilted..

double-yum on having Haley come back...won't be bad to see Lindsey again..although she's pretty average in my book...I could also do without Teresa..

Does anyone else think Caled looks like Cal Ripken?? risky move to kill him off..he was a great villain..

btw, are the boys supposed to be juniors?? season 3&4 will be them being seniors...let's hope we don't get the college years..unless it's a Seth spin-off..

oh..and Trey Atwood looks the child of Nick Lachay and Simon rex..

How did I forget to talk about this?  The teasing....Trey is going to blow the lid off that one soon enough.

Yes he looks like Cal, but they've never struggled to write Villians in the script - remember Oliver?  And they guy that is about to shoot...oh wait, nevermind.

Yes, they're juniors, although not originally.  This was a move made in-between seasons one and two to avoid the College thing.

I didn't see that one coming seeing as Teresa was unaware he was out of prison.. BUT, on the preview Ryan tells him he wants him to move out of Newport..he probably complies and upon his return to Chino finds out about Teresa..don't think that's blowing up this season...I also still think Teresa's kid is Eddie's and not Ryan's...

ok, back to System of a Down and their un-enthusiastic guitarist...

I'm mourning the death of Cal.  He was, by far, the funniest character on the show.

It seems like they played one song about three times on the episode...anyone know what it was.

It was probably  Love as Laughter (http://www.loveaslaughter.net/home.html) , "Dirty Lives" that you are seeking, but they also played:

 Coldplay - Fix You
 Wilco - Panther
 My Pet Genius - Rae
 Hyper - Antmusic
 Senza - Cava Del Rio
 Phoenix - Love for Granted
The Perishers - Nothing Like You and I

Sadly, no.  Well, Marissa is still on the show but she gone through her "phase" and is now back with Ryan.  Alex has disappeared, hopefully to return hotter than ever.

It appears the O.C. is taking some hints from the highly successful "Lost" and killing off main characters.  We needed that, after the way too obvious descent into alcoholism by Kirsten....you know once they pour a vodka, they'll be in recovery soon!

I saw Lucas on one of those Entertainment shows talking about his part on O.C. -- he was clearly uncomfortable, noting "they had lines for me, but that's not the way I talk..."  Still, quite cool to have the comic book guys deciding between prom with Summer or dinner with Lucas!

Aah, love the O.C.  Must find substitute for summertime...

Seeing as how Smackette just started her rotations last month, Grey's Anatomy is must see in our household.  However, the last Episode for this first (mini) season is this Sunday so it's not going to work as a Summer replacement.

I usually save one or two shows for Summer DVD viewing, so this summer it's going to be 24 (which I only watch on DVD in like a weekend), the L-Word (hey, I'm curious about lesbians), and Lost, which I stopped watching a while ago and hope to catch up on.

I was biased against Grey's Anatomy since it bumped the end of Boston Legal's season to the start of next season, but it is a pretty good show, and I usually HATE medical shows.

When I saw the previews for Grey's I thought crimony, more  young doctors in love (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00062IVK8/qid%3D1116363880/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/102-7424675-5216164). I haven't seen it because I work Sunday nights. I very much, though, love "House," probably because I see a little of myself in him. The Aussie doctor, Chase, looks spookily like the young David Sylvian.
