When will tickets go on sale?
-
Ack! Why is it on a Sunday? I'll be DJ'ing. :/
I guess, on the + side, I would then save the $35 BUT I am tempted to be silly, spend a bit more and head to the N.Y.C. gig(s) later that week. :) Anyone else game?
P.S. My Budgie found this news very interesting! ;) ;)
Cheers
DJ Medusa.

"An Evening With Siouxsie"
Sunday 6 June 2004

I found this information on The Creatures web site: http://www.thecreatures.com (http://www.thecreatures.com)
Cheers :)

A ha.... Thanks, Medusa.
I just bought the newest Creatures album, but haven't given it a listen yet.
-
I'll go.......I sure hope she's better than the last time when she played at Nation.

I didn't see her there, but saw the band at Roseland a year and a half ago (?) -- thought they were good, but my heart is so fond, I'm a pushover...
-
Is she still doing that really dance-oriented stuff? I love the early stuff, but quickly lost interest sometime after Tinderbox.
-
I love "Through the Looking Glass," the covers album they did right after "Tinderbox," and then I'm 'out' as well. But, if they play "Christine" and Spellbound, the show is worth it to me. When I saw them, they played quite a bit of the old stuff.
I do like The Creatures, though -- it's that pulsating drum thing. Go Budgie!

FYI, here's a better idea about the June show:
An Evening with...Siouxsie
03.03.04
Coming to a US City near you in May & June, and you??re all invited..
We??re presenting these shows as ??an evening with Siouxsie? as they??ll be neither solely Creatures nor Banshees but an all encompassing two hour show which will comprise classics & rarities picked from the whole of the Siouxsie & the Banshees & the Creatures catalogues.
We??re also thrilled to announce that ex-Kodo drummer Leonard Eto will be joining us as our special guest for the debut performance of songs from Hái!
The venues are mostly of an intimate size, (more sensorial), there??ll be no support so get there early as this will be one of those rare chances to see & hear la Sioux - up close!
see you soon,
xxBudgiexx

I'm glad they explained the "an evening with..." bit. I was worried she was becoming a lounge singer.. I can just imagine her doing a cover of "Piano Man"

I've seen that before -- usually it just means there's no opener. It was An Evening with The Sex Pistols, and something else not too long ago...

Apparently he died in his sleep last Thursday. However, it's not on any newswires, and it's now 5 day old news. I'm always skeptical of 'internet' news.
If it's true, it's very sad.

""""Without doubt the most inventive guitarist of our generation """"
Isn't it odd how people are never declared "the best" "greatest" "most gifted" or in this case "most inventive" until they pop their clogs.
