I saw it last night and thought it was very entertaining. Several cheesy lines and a little bit too long (almost 2.5 hours), but it was a lot better than I expected.
-
I'm tempted to boycott just for the sole fact that Bumblebee isn't a VW Bug, but if you tell me that they used the proper sound effects while they transformed, I still may see it.
-
I was stunned last night after seeing it. Absolutely incredible. The crowd loved it, and the word of mouth should be great.
My only nitpicking part is that it was a bit too long.
-
Do they make the transforming noise or not?
-
I didn't watch the show as a kid, but the noise seemed pretty authentic to my friends. My friends are big fanboys and they loved it, and said that everything sounded really good. Sorry about my lack of help.

The first ten seconds:

Is that the sound?

Fuck this piece-of-shit movie. I'm going to rewatch the 1986 feature instead! UNTIL ALL ARE ONE!!

they used the sound a couple of times, then it seemed to fade away.
there are a ton of things you can nitpick, but it was just plain fun. big ass robots transformed into stuff. shit blew up. i had a blast.
besides, it absolutely includes:
- prime saying "autobots, roll out!"
- megatron yelling "PRIME!"
go in with an open mind, and you will have a good time.
