Someone said Calla & French Kicks but I see they're listed at the Black Cat...

Blonde Redhead has been announced as the support for the February US tour dates starting in Cincinnati. Q and Not U will support on most March dates. Check the live page for specific show details.

I think somebody said q and not u would not be opening here

Exactly, someone here said that the first night had no opener and that Calla/French Kicks would open the 2nd night...

Given that they play 2.5+ hour shows, why would they need an opener?

hah, this ain't no drive-by truckers show, rhett ... i think that the most recent DBT show at 930 may have been the most unnecessarily long show i've ever been too, and i really like them too ... how long did it end up going? 3 hours? 4 hours?

I take it you've never been to a Badly Drawn Boy show...

You're free to leave anytime you've had your fill.
I'd rather have that option than have a band play a 50 minute headlining gig.

I disagree. I thought they got better as the show went on. Nothing wrong with playing long if you can keep it going.

I concur. I typically get rrrrrreal cranky at overly long shows...but the Truckers kept me engaged.

fair enough ... i left after 2 and a half hours or so, i had gotten there early and i think it was a weekend night, so i was hitting the bottle pretty heavily

I would say that the second show the pixies did in dc was the perfect length. It was (I believe) an hour and 1/2. I left very satisfied. It wasn't too long but didn't leave me wanting more (except that I wanted to hear them play "break my body", but other than that...)

Did the GBV show extend longer than Pixies / DBT shows?
