At Fletchers Wednesday night. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Picture from Saturday's Philly show:

Who else is going?
-
I would go but might then have to do some sound crap. I don't want that crap.
-
i am there! :)
-
I wish, as Wolfmother seems right up my alley, but am going to have to wait for the BC show.
-
i am in there like swimwear.

Ditto...I'd love to go out, but can't tonight. I'm VERY happy there's a BC show scheduled.
-
you already know i'm there!
-
Kewl! Then count me in!

i'd be heading up to baltimore tonight for this if i didn't have to prepare for going on tour this week. i have way too much to do tonight to justify going to see them in baltimore.

From last night:

Another awesome show by them. And I'm pretty sure that's the last time I'll get to see them in such a small place. Too tired to comment further right now.

woohooo!!!!!
That was only the best sounding show i have ever heard at Fletchers!! And one of the best shows i have ever seens at Fletchers.
That band is fucking cool. simple and effective. they just rocked from the moment they hit the stage. it sounded exactly like their CD only louder and a bit more heavy (obviously, its live) the crowd was loving it...those guys were together on every single note and i love their transitions.
the joker and the theif is just a brilliant song! :) and i cant wait to see them again at lollapalooza.
which by then , they may be on the main stage...this band is definitely not playing Fletchers ever again!!!
die die die was worth showing up early for too!
all you DC people better buy your tickets early for the BC show cause it will sell out.

Well that was a Wednesday night and $12 well-spent. Thanks to all for the suggestion.
I'm definitely on board for seeing them on the Satan's day show at the Black Cat.
I hung around afterward and chatted up Andrew a bit. They are really excited about touring the states and have had great reception so far. While knocking back about three bottles of water in the dressing room, he was very unaffected and unspoiled.
Chris and Myles' off-stage shyness was a charming change-up from their performance demeanors. I mean check that awesome pic of Chris above. They had such energy!
I heard some great shadings and influences in their set, including, in my opinion, X , the Pixies, some Sabbath, Stone Roses, and a little Sonic Youth.
Wheeeee!!!
Kelly
p.s. Although I chatted with a few strangers, I'm bummed that I didn't recognized any listies. I was wearing my 9:30 Club pin on my lapel too... :)

I was the one in the black t-shirt right in front of Andrew jumping up and down and dancing like crazy. ;) Glad you got to meet the guys. They really are so humble and friendly.

Really? That was you? Didn't see you. Well maybe the bobbing head. LOL :p
I had on a bright green corduroy jacket, a floral green shirt w/jeans, and black motorcycle boots. I was standing by the pole back a bit stage left.
Would you believe that the local peeps standing near me didn't know there was an "old 9:30 Club?" Sheesh! Neophyte concert-going weergins!

i was right near you. next to the pole in front of the sound board. right before wolfmother came on, some fucking 6'8" guy stands right in front of me and pumped his fist for like the first 4 songs or so...then moved, thankfully. it was a REALLY tall show! haha. i think it was the fact they play them on 98Rock..lotsa tall jock-y sorts and short blonde chicks.

So you finally had a chance to come across ggw.

Saw them at Fletcher's last night. No way this power trio will be a flash in the pan.
-
Man, they're such a carbon copy of Sabbath that they even have Ozzy's stage hops down!

Only kidding about the apeing, though; I kind of like the MP3s I've heard.

Alas, t'was not me.
I would have liked to have been there, but couldn't pull off the mid-week Charm City jaunt yesterday. I'm looking forward to the Black Cat show. I've been enjoying the album a great deal.
