The SF-area radio show (Live 105) looks much better and tix are $30. Not a TBS fan, but the rest of the bill makes up for it.

 Friday, December 10th:

 Modest Mouse
 Franz Ferdinand
 Interpol
 Muse
 The Killers
 Taking Back Sunday

Seattle Radio Station End 1077's lineup:

 Franz Ferdinand
 Keane
 Modest Mouse
 Snow Patrol
 The Killers
 The Shins

although they don't have Interpol and Muse, you at least don't have to sit through taking back sunday.

i was thinking exactly the same thing and i'm actually trying to figure out if i can afford to fly out for that.

it's just going to be difficult with going to miami for kraftwerk next week and then to NYC for wilco/flaming lips for NYE coming up in the next 6 weeks.

no i wussed out at the last minute ... but the cd is fab! if you like the high dials you should checkout the grip weeds.  the drummer channels one keith moon with suberb harmonies and loads of pyschedelic 12 string guitar sounds.  they have a new record out which i ought to get off emusic to checkout...

I've never even heard of those dc101 show bands.  I'll stay home.

And Kosmo...I'll have to check out the grip weeds.  Thanks for the tip!

I was there.           :D

 Great show!

(Yes, I was the one that they asked was there half way through the show.       :D      )

About the Nutcracker show, I have no desire to blow that much money to see 2 bands that I have any interest in (Franz & The Killers.....     Sounds like WWI.) at a venue that I avoid at all cost. And there is no way in Hell that I will suffer through that offensive sounding crap they air to end up not even coming close to winning tickets for a show that I couldn't care less about. Shame because the West Coast shows all look good.

Would somebody please forward this thread to the head honchos of HFShit?

They don't care in the slightest.

All they will remember is that Lollapalloza was cancelled for poor ticket sales and that this will sell out for sure.

Sadly, you are so right with the worst part of that being that it will probably sell out or very close to it.

also terribly bad, but i would consider going to the DC101 show if it meant i got the opportunity to rip the vocal chords from elliot's throat.  that guy sucks.

I considered going to this but in the end its the fans of Good Charlotte, etal thats keeping me away from this show.  Don't want to ruin the good memory of the FF show and Jimmy Eat World ought to be at the club soon enough.  The Killers, Keane and MCR could be worth checking out, but it's going to littered with teenagers checking out what each other bought at the mall earlier in the day.

We should be bearing the wrath at any moment.

There are talks of doing a one-time Luka get together show but I don't know if it will happen.  It would involve serious introspection and massive binge drinking and everybody is so damn busy these days.

Not sure about the other two but Skindred kicks ass...  Now if this show was at a venue where I did not have to steam clean myself before and after the show, I may actually think of attending...  :)
