I didn't - damn - Phil was such a great guy and such a tragic character - there are some great songs (and some real crap) on his two solo albums

Yes, but how many black, irish, junkie lead guitarists are there (Is Slash irish?)? Surely the dude played lead guitar once in his life.

damn, excuse the faux pas. he was an excellent bass player. who unfortunately must have had nothing to do with those wicked dueling guitar solos...
