-
the who
the rolling stones
The jimi hedrix experience
the doors
-
This is one long list....
-
When you said that you would want to see the sex pistols live but who is the crucial member you're referring to? I'm guessing Sid Vicious who would be cool to see play, but I don't think of him a crucial.
Just my opinion. :) :)

I debated the very same thing. In that case, add to my list...
Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green and NO Buckingham and Nicks (I did see them only about a month or so after Peter left and Jeremy Spence was with them.)

Joy division...Mothers of Invention....Mott the Hoople....Morphine

It is the way that they were seen in the states the first time round, would be great to have seen that line up. I did see them at the 9:30 this go around. It was great, I was super happy but Sid would have been a different show, but equally entertaining for different reasons.
Some of the "oldies" that have lost major members (Beatles, Led Zep, The Doors) I hate to think the kind of music they would be making right now if they still existed.
I guess others include:
INXS
Stereolab
The Rain Parade
The Shamen
Bob Marley and the Wailers
Darling Candy
Skinny Puppy

jeff buckley
joy division
john coltrane
lynyrd skynyrd
led zeppelin
metallica
the germs
and many more

No one. Two of the guitar players fell completely off of their rockers. First Peter Green and then Jeremy Spence.

I thought one of the original guitar players had died of an overdose, but I might be wrong. Anyway, it would be great to see live the band of the "Mystery to me" and "Future Games" records.
-
You may be right and I'm off. I know Peter is still alive and I think Jeremy went off and found God, or something like that. Mystery To Me was one of the more important pieces of music in my teen life. They use to be so damned good!

I saw the Minutemen with Agent Orange in a club in NYC sometime in the early 80s.

While not a band, I would have loved to have seen Bill Hicks.

Didn't realize that Agent Orange was still together. I didn't really like them but I think the NY club atmosphere had something to do with it. Just wasn't the right place for a band like that.
I've seen the Misfits plenty of times back in the early to mid 80s. All the original guys. They would often come to our parties after the show. Nice guys! Kind of tiny.
-
yeah, they were alright (pretty old) kinda to poppy. crowd liked them....
misfits only have jerry only left...who is very nice and carried the show. dez from black flag was kinda boring, marky ramone was cool, looked like he still lived in 80s.
wish i could see the old misfits...

INXS???? really??? wierd. I saw them a long time back in 1992, and they sucked. I love them though, just a bad bad live show.
-
Hmmm, no one said Queen. They get my vote.
