Has anyone been to one of these?
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8TH
POSITIVE FORCE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET
AND BENEFIT SHOW FOR THE LATIN AMERICAN YOUTH CENTER
market at 1 pm and bands at 3 pm
the Delorean
Paper Doll
4chamberheart
the Washington Social Club
$5 all ages
Flemming Center 1426 9th Street NW DC
Is the flea market worth checking out? Anything interesting?

FYI - the positive force website says the bands start at 2:00 - not 3:00.

I went. Saw 3 of the 4 bands. Not sure which one I missed - either 4chamberheart or The Delorean. Paper Doll and WSC were really good.
As for the flea market, there wasn't a whole lot there. Maybe 5-6 tables of stuff. Mark Anderson had a few crates of CDs/Records/Videos. $5 each, but not a lot to choose from. Someone had a ton of music for sale on the porch out back, but they were a little more expensive at $7-10 per cd. Tons of what looked like hardcore 45s, if you had the patience to dig through them. A few tables also had political/protest info. I'd compare the size of the place to The Warehouse.
I'd go again, if the bands look interesting. I wouldn't necessarily go just for the flea market.
