The man is known for having a great physique, but there's something really creepy about this pic and I can't really put my finger on it. And I'm not just talking about the weird face he's trying to make.

Uh, he's 60?

AND ONE OF THE DREADED LIVING DEAD!

those elbows are downright reptilian...
"drugs are bad, m'kay"?
-
That's probably not the best hairstyle choice for a 60 year old man.
I bet Iggy would take being called "creepy" as a compliment.

I hope I look half that good at 60.
Seriously. What do you think shirtless men look like at sixty? WITHOUT plastic surgery? Very few elite athletes have that good a physique at sixty. Very few elite athletes have that good a physique at FORTY.
Yes, things appear to be a bit wrinkly for Mr. Pop but that happens when you're sixty. He's lived a LIFE. He's earned those wrinkles.

brian - iggy hasn't released anything relevant in your lifetime. why are you defending him?
-
Actually, if someone is an elite athlete, I'm willing to bet they look better than that.

I'm defending his physique, not "The Wierdness."

I doubt it. Would you consider Wayne Gretzky, John McEnroe, Joe Montana, Bo Jackson, Magic Johnson elite atheltes? If any of those five took off their shirts right now, would you think they'd be as lean and cut as Iggy? And they are all at least ten years younger.

I'd hit it.

...*if* I was single...
-
No, I would no longer consider any of those people elite athletes.

Unless he lets himself go bigtime in the next 10 years, I bet Sting looks much better than that at 60.
Actually, I bet Bowie looks better than that and he's 60+, and like Celeste, when my wife saw him live she said exactly the same thing about Bowie.
-
Hey now, there missy....settle down...

Sting you might have. But I'd bet a shirtless Bowie vs. a shirtless Iggy wouldn't be a challenge...I'd think Iggy'd win hands down. Of course, clothed, Bowie is a smooth operator.

I saw him at the club only a few years back and recently with the Stooges. Both times, I was in awe at how cut he was and overall, how great he looks - forget about his age - he clearly takes great care of his body and has excellent physique. But its its face here. It looks like a rubber mask. And it looks like he's foaming from the mouth.
-
He's ripped to the point of almost looking sickly. He needs to eat something.

It's just the angle. And this shot was clearly taken during a performance of "I wanna be your dog", hence the foaming at the mouth.
I saw him on some late night talk show a couple months ago and he was charming. He was also pretty cool at Bumbershoot a couple years ago when he fearlessly invited a bunch of people on stage with him to dance, then when he was tired of them, told them all to "go get a Pepsi"...

This picture needs a caption!
-
here's the caption:
"you think the stooges are washed up, should not have gotten back together, or that our new tour sucks? bite my detriot riot inspired wire."
-
Iggy Rules!
(...with the exception of that new, piece-of-shit Stooges LP)
-
The problem with the pic is that IGGY is in it.
-
What we have here is the body of a 25 year old covered with the skin of a 60 year old. That's why it looks so wierd.
Iggy's the man....truly one of the all time heroes and pioneers of rock. And he still brings it EVERY NIGHT.
Listen to side two of Fun House and I could forgive him for just about any musical atrocity he could muster.

Funhouse Side One: What about me?

NOW I WANT TO BE YOUR DOG!

Look at Billy Idol. He will be 52 this year. At 60 he will look twice as good as Iggy

Let just hope you don't have to listen to him while you look at him.

The original punk vs the original cyberpunk?
Does anyone remember THAT? It's sad to remember that one of the first rock stars to really "embrace" the internet was Mr. Idol. It didn't do him any good but at least he wore some cool Stephen Sprouse clothes.
