miss pretentious,

We'll have the dance party from 10-11 then Go! Team work their magic from 11-12:15 or so and more dancing until close. A couple of notes: reviews of the Go! Team from the road are fantastic so expect a good performance; DURKL t-shirts are pretty dope and retail for about $35 a pop, so get there early if you want to snag a free one; dress up!

Fantastic - I got a direct comment about all this.

And I'm quite familier with DURKL. Spent some time in the suite at Styleistics last weekend and one of my friends about shit himself when I told him about the gear for the first 10 people. So there is already one person excited.

And I don't expect anything less than a fantastic performance from The Go! Team. That was about the least of my worries... I'm much more worried about whether my halloween hair will be able to withstand all the dancing.

But thanks for the info  :)

Yes.

I'm on the 8th set and my thumb is killing me. So I Switched over to Halo for a few hours.

vansmack - There is a sad face only because I'd like to go to the show.

And the Slash battle is ridiculous.

We did free hugs for the last Blisspop event with Georgie James/The Dance Party/Soft Complex.  Basically we had a sign that said free hugs and people came over and got a pretty good one from either me or Svetlana.  This time it's actually free kisses but I think they got nervous and changed the text to read free hugs on the 9:30 Club web site.

Major ixkpd-bk news!!!

I'm skipping Tori Amos in Pittsburgh for this, because I realized what a stupid stupid STUPID mistake that would've been. The Go! Team was one of my favorite albums of the year, and one of the best shows I saw last year. I can't go without them!

Bet your ass I'm one of the first ten in line. Free swag has my name ALL over it.

Who else is there, besides the wonderful Miss P?!?!?

That was the best show of the year.  I've never danced...or shall i say jumped around so much.  The dj before and after the go! team was awesome thanks for playing thriller.

Fun show, though last year at the Black Cat was a little more enjoyable.  I chalk this up to:

 1) the material from the debut being stronger than the songs on Proof of Youth, and

 2) the fact that Black Cat makes everything necessarily more crowded.  This is a great band for packt-like-sardines dancing and undulating across the whole crowd.  9:30 having more space in general kept things a little tamer than I would have liked.

Still, a very fun show.  I'd to see more shows at the club get spazzy projected visuals and DJ sets between acts.  Ninja's insane, and the guy in the banana costume deserves a shout-out too.

Disagreed, I enjoyed this show way more than the Black Cat show. The band is just way more comfortable on stage, more energetic, etc. I thought the crowd was way more into it too. Plus I got a free hat for being in line early! Neat!
