Thanks for the heads up. I'm already part of their email list but didn't hear anything about a presale. Is this a fan club presale?
-
Any idea how much lawn tickets are going to cost? Probably more expensive than the $10 lawn tickets I got for the National Symphony Orchestra at Wolftrap?

Ticketmaster gives a price range of $40-$75. So definitely more than ten bucks.
-
$75 for ORCH?! FUUUUUCKKK!!!
I guess if you're into those faegs Modest Mouse then it's more of a deal, but... Isn't Breeders at 9:30 that night? I'm thinking I'm going to have to do that instead..
-
how you get the presale tickets you have to join the fanclub???????
-
I think you have to join the email list. You don't have to pay for the fanclub for the pre-sales.
It's the same night as the breeders.

Have you already received the password from the email list? I haven't.
-
The fan club presale was today. Tomorrow is just a regular "online community" presale.
-
nice nice. i just signed up for the email list hopefully they send the password out soon. YOu know they are selling REM and Pearl Jam tickets on the same day Friday. How the hell are people going to manage that if they want to go to both???

Wow, just IMAGINE if it was fifteen years ago which is the last time either band was either popular OR relevant! Man, wouldn't it be tough to get a ticket, then?

If you're asking me, I don't know. I was referring to the fanclub presale, which is different. I haven't received any info on tomorrow's sale.
-
Something's going on because I never got the emails either. Does anybody have Michael Stipe's phone number? I need to call him.
-
Don't you have to pay to be in the REM fanclub? That's the only way you get presale tickets (at least in the past).
-
yeah i guess they are having two sales one for fanclub and the other one for who knows what.
-
You have to pay for the fanclub.
I don't think there's a password for tomorrow's online email list presale. Just a link.
Go to their site already and look it up.

Is Johnny Marr still playing with Modest Mouse? It's worth $10 of the ticket price to simply be in the same zipcode as the great one.
-
I am pretty sure he is. The National is also playing. I'm excited to see them too.
Hopefully, Modest Mouse won't be terrible like they were when I saw them about 7 years ago. awful.
-
I think modest mouse is better like in a club setting. Outdoor venues and festival they are so so but like at the norva they were awesome. So for the presales how do they do seats??? Will it be all?? Like pit and seated too???
-

For Merriweather the pit is resesrved seats.
They were selling tickets at all 3 price levels, so there's a little of everything.
-
great to know. will these seats be better then ticketbastards??? Like does REM aliquat certain amounts for the pre sale?
-
I'm not sure if tomorrow's presale is just the leftovers from today, or if there's a new allotment. If it's the leftovers, there won't be many good ones left.
I'm sure TM will have their share of good tickets though.
-
You know - I'm not so sure the allotment from today will have been all that picked over... it's been a long time since they were doing anything on a regular basis. In order to be included in today's sale you had to be a member of their fan club prior to Jan 28 of this year. How many people do you REALLY think that included?
-
Probably a crap load. REM fans are pretty good but who knows. I just dont want to deal with ticketmaster on friday if I can get the tickets tomorrow because I'm trying to get Pearl Jam tickets too. So we'll see.
-
I got row C in today's fan club pre-sale. How'd you do Bombay Chutney?
-
Row A. I think that's 5th row.
-
Got my tickets. About 15 rows back, center. Not too bad.
-
thanks for the heads up, k8!
i feel good knowing i have tix (r:c row z), but i think i'll try again friday morning.

Hey, FYI. Keeping on this 1996 tip, Stone Temple Pilots are getting back together, too.

Son of a bitch I thought that the 75 buck tickets were just for pit and didn't realize it was for all the center seats too. I got R Lodge Row A. Is that any good?????
-
Most of the pavillion seats are good. We sat in that general area for Radiohead a few years back and they were fine.
-
yeah I'm looking at the 75 buck tickets to see if I should get one of those but I think my Row A seat in the lodge looks good unless Row A starts from the back haha.
-
not much on offer this morning... first pull was R:C row DD, which i threw back - and got nothing on my second pull. not that it matters, i have no way of getting out to merriweather anyways.
k8 - did you get your 15-th row center this morning, or during the fanclub presale? if the former, congrats!
-
Left Center/Row BB/ Seats 31,33
I can handle that.
-
I guess I'll stick with my ticket that I bought orginally. Just pulled a LC row x seat 1 but it seems like my lodge seat is better then that or is that not true?
-
show starts at 6:30 ! ouch.
-
The Loge seats are on the sides. Not sure about the sight lines from there. Row A Loge will have you practically sitting sideways I believe.
After about 50 tries I settled for LC Row R.
-
I guess thats ok haha it seems as close enough and I dont want to shell out another 80 bucks for center seats. It will do.
-
This morning, right at 10am.
This is the one of the only times it's nice living 2 miles from Merriweather in the otherwise boring burbs.
-
i signed in right at 10am (for tix at msg) and was able to get pit tix. realizing the showtime and not sure what time id get over there went for seats. have no clue what MSG seating chart is like (stupid computers dont have the newest flash version) so i just took what i got. then realized i could only get one ticket. at over $100 thank god i wasnt promising any to anyone.
its row E in some 100 section.
-
I got CTR Row GG. Is that like a million miles away?
-
does anyone know what the price levels are?

Did anyone else get an annoying seating change announcement? My loge seats from the presale got moved way, way, way back from Row A (very good) to Row AA (not good at all). Can I do anything about that?
-
that seems unfair.
at this point, though, i feel fortunate to have seats. it looks like it's sold out (or close to it)!

Yeah, got my tickets, therefore I'm fairly happy

Yeah I got that yesterday too those bastards. I got R Lodge Row A which i thought were pretty good from looking at the seating chart. Then the email says that Row A does not exist and it's corrected to row AA. What the hell. I got on ticketmaster today and pulled a section Left Center Row U so I took it. Will try to sell my AA R Lodge seat. I tried to write them but no response.
-
They refunded my money today after saying it was their mistake about the Row A and Row AA thing. So yay on that!!
-
Interesting...
I don't want them to refund my money, because then I'm ticketless (and sad). I'll semi-happily pay the higher tier if I need to get better seats. We'll see if I get a response...
-
Oh I just replied to the email they sent me about changing the seats to AA. I said it should be row A and blah blah then they replied if I wanted a refund so I took that since I bought tickets on ticketmaster this morn and got better seats.
