Title: HFStival Question
Post by: lbcardoni on May 24, 2006, 09:21:00 am
So apparently there are  three stages (http://www.whfs2.com/sponsors/) ...Where are they going to put three stages playing music simultaneously and have decent sound?

At the curiosa fest they had a second stage setup on the top of the hill which didn't cause many problems but as i recall they alternated bands between the two stages until the headliners went on.  They could easily set a third stage in back parts of the grounds well away from the main area...

not that i have "official" information, but i believe HFS is using a large part of Symphony Woods to have the 3 stages, buzz tent and other various HFS activities.

although the lineup is sub-par to most, i think the way they plan on using Merriweather could be a most exciting part of the festival.

i am pretty sure they are using more than just the normal venue grounds.

Yes, I too would like to hear how they use Symphony in the woods and how they are able to contain it...with no permanent fencing around it, I imagine it would be hard to construct any barrier that would effectively keep non ticket holders out.  All wine in the woods has was some 3' snow fence.

in one of the JC Penney fitting rooms at the mall, there is a hole in the floor, crawl in that, tunnel under the mall, and Little Patuxent Parkway all the way thru the woods, and you'll come on of one of the toilets in the womens bathrooms in Merriweather.  just be careful.
