... on not dying and running the marathon this weekend.
Just checked the New York Marathon site and saw that you finished - 4:12:08.
Good for you!
You brush past Katie Holmes?
-
Congratulations!
Lance Armstrong only beat you by an hour and a half.
-
congrats man, you're a maniac! :)
-
Solid! Congratulations NKOTB.
-
Yes, but did "nkotb" run it with an insane spouse, not breaking a sweat and no bra?

I gotta give the "more difficult achievement" to Ms. Holmes.
Sorry, NKOTB.
Brian
P.S. Did anybody here ever see the movie "The Gift?" They are a gift. Gift from God.

That's only 'cause he had a hot date (on the right, I think)...

Nice one NKOTB - and it's also nice to see Lance has found a girl who weighs less than he does!

Which one's the boy?
You know, those two have a remake of "Dead Ringers" written all over them.

Wow - Congrats!

Thanks, everyone!
I really only had three tiered goals for the marathon:
1. Finish.
2. Run the entire distance (short breaks were ok, but I had to run the length).
3. Beat 5 hours.
Amazingly, I did all three. I actually only stopped once for a quick bathroom break, but otherwise cruised through most of the race. And when I got my final time, I couldn't believe it. I never thought I'd do that well, especially my first time out.
I didn't see Katie, but I'm glad that I beat her. And I think I beat P. Diddy's time as well.
All in all, it was a blast, and really didn't cause me too much pain. Of course, walking the long ass path out of Central Park in a sea of people was probably the worst pain I've ever felt. My legs were KILLING me.
Thanks again for the congrats. Surprisingly (to myself), I've already started thinking about the next marathon!
