UGH. I'd been waiting for a date to be announced, but lost hope and bought a ticket to Stars in NC on October 26. I guess I'll miss them... again.
-
Thanks dude! $25/ticket, and just $7 service charges on 2 tickets will call only. I remember the last NP's show selling out pretty fast, so I'm happy to get these early :)
-
did the last 930 show really sell out quick?!
wow, emma pollack (ex-delgados) is opening!
-
Excellent...many thanks for the heads up. Should be a great show.
-
Hmmm...I may be thinking of the Belle & Sebastian two-night stand that had the NP's opening...those definitely sold out fast. Anybody remember the last time they headlined?
-
Thanks, I got my two tickets. I am really excited to see Emma Pollack, too.
I would expect the regular sale to sell out within 48 hours.
-
Thanks for the heads up!
-
got em, thanks!
-
I picked up two. This is the tour with a (mostly) full band, right? Is Dan Bejar in line for this one?
-
Many thanks for the update!
-
do we know if bejar or case will be there

They headlined a couple months before the B&S show and sold out the club. I think the show was sold out a couple weeks in advance.

According to this (http://www.amny.com/entertainment/am-new0703,0,5199133.story?coll=am-ent-headlines), it's the full lineup including Case and Bejar :)
-
thanks for the info.
-
kmb, why not see stars at 930 on 10/20? i just heard their newly released bedroom album and i have to say i'm disappointed.
-
just curious - if anyone has a pre-sale password for the stars show in NYC. if so, and you wouldnt mind sharing - id SO appreciate it.
-
Just curious...
When Neko plays with the New Pornos, does that less talented, less attractive replacement chick still play in the band, and what does she do?
-
and thus begins the football vs. shows debate in my head... this one may be on the chopping block.
-
no debate, tivo the football!

no no no. you don't understand. this is as in season ticket holder, going to the game football... or going to shows. BIG difference.

Notre Dame has a bye that week so it shouldn't be a problem.
-
I guess you need to figure out whether you're a hipster or a blockhead. :p

Maybe you could get him to go to some shows!
It's good that you want to bond with your father. I was just reading an article in a travel magazine where a mom was trying to bond with her 23 year old son by taking him on an all expenses paid bike trip through Italy, and he showed his appreciation by riding away from her each day and by leaving behind the helmet she had bought for him.

if bonding is so important, why doesn't daddy come to the show? in the later years of life, rather than succumbing to the creature of habitual interests, one ought to try different things in the precious time left.
-
i go to shows with my mom, football with my dad...
that's just how it works out and always has been. plus, they are 6-7 hours away from me so anything we can do together anymore is a treat. i miss them dearly. that article sounds terrible. my folks, my mom especially, are like my best friends to this day.

lol @ precious time left.
my dad is like 47.
-
Thanks so much. I am so excited. Challengers is one of my favorite albums of 2007.
-
even if your dad were 17, the time left is still precious! :)
