Not at all, Marty of Wash Soc Club does a column for us and we told him he can write about whatever he wants, and he wrote one bitching about The Cat.  Primarily it was meant to be funny, which it sort of succeeded in doing.  I personally think he made some valid points, but regardless, it was just one person's post, there is definitely no beef.  It did seem to get people fired up on both sides though and is our second most commented post ever:

What did his band get banned from the BC for anyway?
 
 
 Must've been something pretty bad  given that they've banned very few throughout their existence unlike dc9/rnr/r&b who have banned an obscene amount over the last year.

First time I've ever heard a complaint... comments don't immediately appear, they need to be approved first, which usually only takes a few min unless both me and Svet are out to lunch at the same time.  Did you check back to see if it was there a little later or did you get an error message or what?

hey Cale, would you let us know when you've selected the winner for each contest, maybe even announce who they are, so we in the process have a sense of closure?  and also sufficiently ahead of the show?
 
 for example, the Digitalism show opens doors in 1:30 hours and nothing has been announced.  i bought my own ticket already for this show, as i do for the vast majority of shows.  the contests are entertaining and free stuff is always fun, so i participate fully with brain and both hands.
 
 however, a contest is a contest, with a beginning, middle and end.  if a contest doesn't have transparency, people will have less reason to enter.  like why would i bother to enter the eel contest or the other new one you posted i have have no clue will happen to the promised tickets?

I email the winners directly, usually a day or two or three before the show.  Sometimes when we do last minute giveaways it is the day of.  How about we put a closing time on each contest, which means if you don't get the email from me at that time saying you won then, well, you didn't win.
