Title: Fatboy Slim, March 26th
Post by: Frank Gallagher on February 22, 2005, 09:48:00 am
Spend your $35+ service charge = $785.56 +- and stay at home, invite some friends round, get a case of beer, pizza delivered and play your own records for the night.....trust me, you'll have much more fun. You can even write notes on cardboard and hold them up to each other for the full fatboy slim effect.

The question is whether he is bring the band like he did last year... If it's just a DJ gig even I'd pass.  Not enough variety in the crates last time for moi...

I've decided that Fatboy Slim is definitely worth $85 and missing out on $500.  I have always wanted to see him (outside of my live DVD).

here's how I justify spending money, personally...

what are you going to remember, the thing you spent the money on, or the money you didn't spend?

That's why I got a loaded up 9:30 club card when they were on sale before Valentine's Day.  Best deal of the year -- I shoulda gone for $500, but just couldn't do it (plus figured that could be the end of the deal as they sell $750 cards for $500...)

That's a fine philosophy....except for the business you're in Seth, because going from previous threads, when people spend money for your club the only thing they seem to remember is how much they had to spend on service charges.
