what's the deal with that tagline on the 930 site for certain shows (it's up there for indigo girls right now) ... is it just because the people who would go to this show are 40+ and call the club up incessantly and ask for seating? is it because some of the rest of their tour is seated, but not this gig?
has always just seemed funny to me...
-
I always assumed it was because a sizeable portion of the intended audience would want tables, chairs, etc.
-
I thought they were some hip new band on Saddle Creek or Barsuk.
-
It is a pretty cool name for a band.
What's with this over 40 shit anyway? The only time I sit at a show is if I have to, like at the Shushmere....and I'm knocking on the door of 45, so kiss my standing arse!
Maybe lesbos like to sit! *wink wink* on each others faces.....
-
I think a lot of the other shows on the tour are in venues with seats, etc. I've only seen them in seated venues myself...
-
a better phrasing about that for those shows should be "Reminder-- the 930 Club has no tables.......blah blah"
That way there couldn't be an interpretation of "well -- for Indigo Girls there are no tables or chairs but I guess for Sountrack of our Lives there ARE tables a chairs..."
-
on rare occasion 9:30 does put seats down on the floor (first come first serve)...they did when Stephen Lynch performed in May.

can someone shoot me an email when the first show where hammocks are provided for all in attendance is hosted?
