Anyone know which US label this band is signed to? They have any EP due out in the near future and I can't track down the US release info on it. It would appear that something or other is up on iTunes which I don't have access to at work.
Did anyone else notice the revived trend of releasing EPs verses full length albums in the US? Maximo Park, Bloc Party (i think) are all going that way to get a foot in the door. Personally, I think it's a great way to release material. Gives you a chance to "support" with the new purchase instead of waiting for it to show in the bargin bin.

I've sent off an email to the band asking about a US label. I'm very much taken with this band at the moment.

EPs: Also Arcade Fire. I think Bloc Party's EP was just their two singles compiled, btw. I agree though, seems to be a lot of EPs lately, and not just from new bands.

Hey let me know what you findout .. As mentioned elsewhere the trio has a killer rhythm section.
Also check out The Black Velvets (http://www.theblackvelvets.tv/indexflash.php), PseudoST turned me on to them. Loud nasty guitars with killer vocals. Swagger approved.

The full length Little Barrie is good. I can see where a lot of people wouldn't like them though. You've got to be a fan of late '60s blues rock (Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream, Grand Funk Railroad) to appreciate them.
Kosmo, The Black Velvets have another single due out soon. They're from Liverpool and have a mid '70s rock swagger to them. Their first single (both cd and 7" vinyl) were packaged in velvet sleeves. They probably lost a mint on that but it made a nice addition to the collection.

I saw that Edwyn played keyboards on a track of thiers, but didn't know he has producing them as well. He produced their first record which has already been released, it's possible that they are already working on a follow-up.
This compliation, which has a Little Barrie track, is Cool as Fuc. It gets a letter deduction because of the inclusion of that wretched Scissor Sisters "Comfortably Numb" cover. Any comp with Henry Mancini, The Damned, Primal Scream, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, and Sisster Sledge is fine by me. Not really hard to believe seeing as Hotel Pelirocco is a Mod inspired B&B in Brighton.
