so many people on here blabbing away about manson this, manson that. then the show happens and not one peep about him or the event. must of been "real quality entertainment." so how was the show? i had a chance to go, but said no at the last minute. did i miss out, or rather catch a lucky break?
-
I thought it was a great show. I bet most people didnt brag on the show cause the Indie people, with their snotty little noses looking down on them woulda just bashed any positive statement made.
-
You went to that show Rob_Gee? Man..whatta loser. Who woulda thought? Well my opinion of you has really changed for the worse.
Now excuse me while i go blow my snotty little indie nose. :D

is it the knowledge i gain from the factoids of fine non-fiction weaved onward to make up our days, or the sheer brutality that exist amongst the many ranks within the "nine thirsty forum." dante would of been in awe struck reclaim to new levels of uncharted domains.

You're going to O.A.R., aren't you Walkonby?
-
was not planning on it.

i thought they had something to do about boats
islands in the steam, that is what they are

I thought the Manson show was awesome. I had a great time, and was glad he did the 930 club instead of a stadium. The opening band SLUNT was really good too. And the two girls in the band were HOT!
-
And the opener, Spahn Ranch, was kickass, too?

Who are you again? I forgot.

I'll admit to going to the Manson show, and I thought it was great entertainment. Not necessarily great music - but great entertainment. Same reason I'll be going to see Gwar later this month. The crowd wasn't as much fun to watch as they were for his first show. This show had a more "mainstream" crowd.
-
I'd like to go to the GWAR show but its the same day I drive back from Maine. So I'm gonna have to pass on that one.
-
The only reason I didn't go see Manson was the price. If it was cheaper I definitely would have gone. I think that's one of those shows that would at least be interesting to see. And who knows - it might actually be pretty entertaining.

GWAR is a 1000x better than manson. having seen both at 930 i saved my money for gwar. manson is one of those things you just have to see once. gwar has a fucking dinosaur that eats the pope...

I think you nailed that one perfectly.

Never seen Manson but I'm sure I'd enjoy it if I was willing to part with the cash for a ticket. Never really heard a Manson record...just the radio and video songs.
Gwar?? Money well spent. I lived in Richmond in the late 80's early 90's so I've seen them a bunchabuncha times and it's always a hoot. How they play their instruments in those costumes with all the blood and action is a mystery to me.
But honestly I've never heard a GWAR record either, nor can I name a single song....but I'd say that if you havn't seen them before you should at least once.

i think that gwar should take on manson's crew for total domination of the underworld scene. a fight that we all know who would win, hands down. scumdogs of the universe can never be beat. and chaz, it's nice to know that i'm not the only one who never pays attention to song titles. I can listen to an album and worship it, sing every lyric of every song, but never really bother to pick up the cd to tell my brain that this song is called that. i'm always the one at shows who knows the song . . . but not "cool" enough to keep a badly scribbled set list on a half wet, bar napkin.
