The main guy got "disillusioned" or something after the release of Handcream For a Generation (which is gold by the way). He pretty much dissembled the band but has continued to make music under the moniker. He released a single called Wop The Groove last year under the Cornershop name but does not appear to ever desire to tour again. In theory, a new LP is getting worked on. It's a shame, they were a way better band then one would think from the "one-hit wonder" title.

Agreed...When I Was Born for the 7th Time was excellent. Too bad they were one of the worst live bands I've ever seen. I was embarrassed just watching Tinder Singh on-stage.

Tinder Singh is living high off the hog from all that Target money. I heard a Cornershop song during a Target TV ad a while back.

Cornershop opened for Oasis back in the day. Their hit was all there was, however their cd was decent. During the show they whipped out the sitars and went to town. BORING.
I especially hate it when the Beastie Boys do that shit.

They put out more than one cd.

Creative differences, cocaine, and meddlesome girlfriends broke them apart. One had a short and forgetable solo career. One did time for manufacturing meth at his house in the Central Valley. One went back to teaching chemistry at Petaluma high school.
