Title: good night spots in D.C. for a Wednesday??
Post by: 21the22nd on December 06, 2004, 01:26:00 am
Hi, I am not from the area so I need help on where all to go to celebrate my 21st in D.C. I was also wondering what a cool hotel would be to stay at. I want to get a decently sized hotel room because I will have atleast 8-10 people with me. Maybe there is a good hotel with a bar nearby. I would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks

A friend of mine stayed here a few weeks ago -  http://www.rougehotel.com/ (http://www.rougehotel.com/)  .  It was pretty swanky and not that expensive.

And why not try to catch the Pixies show that night?  I'm pretty sure you could score tix for about 50 bucks a pop.  Look on craigslist.

theres a bunch of nice (expensive) hotels in chinatown, theres also 1 or 2 cheaper ones, 60bux a nightish, and theres plenty of stuff to do within walking distance, spy museum, fuddruckers, urban outfitters, and a starbucks on every single corner.

I recommend Helix (http://www.hotelhelix.com) at 14th and Rhode Island...  exceptionally cool hotel, and a very cool bar!

Jury's on Dupont Circle is really well located and the rooms are big -- you can sometimes find $99 deals via Expedia or Hotels.com.

i swear by galaxy hut wednesdays... what a great, chill, friendly place.  plus, you could get a NoVa hotel, which would cut the price.  Plus, you could barhop through Clarendon and pick up some lipglosshotties.

eh hem.
skonster, good to see you back on the board.  but that snarky attitude will get you nowhere... esp. considering that YOU go to Galaxy Hut some wednesdays!

AND you can easily bike to Clarendon.  It's not far from the Key Bridge there.
