The Intonation festival (http://www.intonationmusicfest.com/) will be 6/24-6/25.  The Streets and Bloc Party are the only announced acts so far.

Spoon, Yo La Tengo, and Tapes ,n Tapes have been added to the Pitchfork Festival.

Silver Jews will be headlining.

Unless Radiohead is headlining Lolla, this is the Chicago festival I'd most like to see.

which seems about 0% likely, considering you would think it would have at least sorta leaked somewhere.

but speaking of Lolla.....i think its weird that 3 days before the lineup is to be announced....not really ANYthing has leaked about whos playing.....other than the Chili Peppers and like 3 rumoured bands....they are keeping it quite hush hush...or just no one cares!

Thievery Corporation is CONFIRMED, in fact, they were before RHCP.

Supposedly Corgan gave an interview in Miami last night and said no Pumpkins live until 2007, so there goes one of those rumoured bands, anyway.

Futureheads, Art Brut, & Chin Up Chin Up have been added.

Even though I've seen most of the bands I want to see, this is shaping up to be one hell of a lineup. I'm considering a week long vacation in Chicago to go to both this and Lolla...

"Celebrations kick off just after noon on Friday, March 17th at Emo's Annex with Pitchfork's free SXSW day-party, co-presented by the Windish Agency. Featuring DJ sets from Rjd2, Ladytron, and Matthew Dear as Audion, plus performances from Art Brut, Love Is All, Jose Gonzalez, Spank Rock, Hot Chip, Death Vessel, and the Juan Maclean, the event officially jumpstarts Pitchfork Summer 2006 (really, why wait?), and is basically gonna rule. See y'all bitches in Austin."

 Recycling and old article?

Pitchfork is probably more worth the price than Lollapalooza, although Lollapalooza's lineup is pretty nice.

Out of 55 bands I heard at SXSW this year, Chin Up, Chin Up is one of my top five favs.
