Title: Here we go again.....
Post by: mankie on November 20, 2003, 05:41:00 pm
....lets flash the race card yet again    like a black rapper has never written a racist song towards whites.

this thread is retarded.

you sound like the same guy who used to call the comedians on Def Comedy Jam 'racist' for always poking fun at the white guy in the audience. the same guy who called eddie murphy 'racist' for making fun of how white people have no rhythm in 'RAW.'

if you need the differences between white and black america explained, and how these relationships lead to incongruity in how our commentary on race-relations are judged, then you are either a)racist yourself, b)stupid or c)both.

i.e. dead prez's desire to "run up on crackers in city hall" is not comparable to eminem talking about "n*gger shit." the relationship between black and white america cause that rift, and its understandable, and irreversible.

something tells me this point will fly over your head though.

but....Black History Month is coming up in a few months. perhaps you can say that its hypocritical for "Black History Month" to be celebrated, but that we would never celebrate a "white history month" and in fact would call it 'racist.'

I believe the correct term is "mentally challenged". Please refrain from using such hatemongering language. A number of those types have been known to occasionally read this board, and you wouldn't want to start a riot by using such language.  :D

Exactly!

I personally am not racist but it's the whole hypocricy double standards that annoy me, and I was just pointing out another example of it, that's all.

That's the last I'm saying on the subject...good-bye.

This is so stupid, Ice Cube in Death Certificate says much worse about black woman and calls Easy E a dumb N$%er in "No Vaseline:, and thats the nicest thing he says about him.

Oh wait its ok for him to say it since he's black.....I forgot.

Hip-hop fans don't read The Source anymore because of Benzino's tactics, so no one really cares.

Who says Black haven't made progress?

Used to be that the only white women black men could snag were of the overweight bleached blonde Jerry Springer guest variety.

Now apparently, they have risen enough in desireability to screw underage white teenage girls.

Let me explain.

Growing up in semi-rural blue collar America where a vast majority of people were white, you'd occasionally see an interacial couple. Quite consistently the couple would consist of a black man and a trashy looking white woman. You never saw a black man with a hot white woman, and you never saw a white man with a black woman.

Just commenting on where I grew up. Could be different now, and obviously DC is different.

So you can pull back the mentally challenged tag, now that I have explained it.

ok, a) i was riffing off an earlier post on this same thread.. b) i think i'll leave the tag as is. and c) judging by your post count, you probably feel compelled to "save face" in this little back and forth in front of the audience, so feel free to have the last word.

If you believe that, you are as Sal Paradise suggests, mentally challenged.

The people who have made progress is "the whites".

well you can all poke fun and make "sleazy" comments if you want.  my baby was black, and I don't really find that to be any kind of joke.  if you want to laugh at it, do it behind my back in pm's or whatever.

Samantha, I am sorry to have made a joke about a sensitive situation. Hopefully, you are on your way to personal growth and learning from this experience that will better inform your future decisions, and also on your way to emotional recovery.

Back to my point. Of course you can't ball all black men up into one man, but let's say you can. If a man now has the opportunity to date beautiful women deemed by society as the most desireable whereas in the past he only had the opportunity to date lesser attractive women, in most people's eyes, he has made progress.

How has he made that progress? Probably by becoming more educated and financially successful, two qualities which tend to attract women more often than they should in a just world.

LOL....it turned white....didnt expect to hear that   :D  . Anyways i'm wondering which post Sal Paradise had a problem with. I'm just saying i dont see how its right for a black person to call another black person the N word. I dont think its right for a white person to do it but at the same time it shouldnt be right for a black person to do it either. Everybody got a big laugh when Junior Seau made the chicken and watermelon joke about Ladamian Tomlinson, had that been a white guy, he woulda been kicked out of the NFL. Its definetely not a word i would use (being white) and alot of my female black friends know that i would chosse a black girl just as quickly as i would choose a white one.

decisions?  please, you inform me, how do I choose what mother nature has control over?

why do you have to condescend me at every turn?  do you need reassurement of your age, maturity, or gender?  what is it you're trying to prove by your admonishing me?

I was not being condescending. I was merely suggesting that a child of 16 really shouldn't put herself in a position where she could potentially become pregnant. (You seem like a bright girl with a good future ahead of you; having a baby at your age probably is not a wise decision?)

And if she insists on having sex, hopefully it's in a loving relationship, and she is responsible enough to be on the pill, take it diligently, and thus prevent the possibility of an an unwanted pregnancy.

at least get my age correct, I am 17.  If you want to talk about this you can take it in a pm with someone else.  I'd rather not have my very personal life brought onto a forum for dissecting.

All right. Fair enough. Thanks for clarifying your age. Again, I apologize for making a joke at your expense, and for making comments that you took to be condescending. Hopefully end of discussion. Have a good weekend.
