Title: Will Hoge / Limbeck (the Staxs of Soul edition)
Post by: kosmo vinyl on March 05, 2006, 07:20:00 pm
Ended up spinning an unplanned Soul set last night.  Had taken along some Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Booker T and MGs along to spice up the set.  Was previewing some of the Stax tracks in the booth when all of sudden I was live in the house and they were letting in people for the show, so ended up just going with it for the first set.

Solomon Burke - "Home In Your Heart"
 Olympics - "Secret Agents"
Bettye Swann - "The Heartache Is Gone"
 Al Wilson - "The Snake"
 The Miracles - "Micky's Monkey"
Isley Brothers - "It's Your Thing"
 R. Dean Taylor - "There's A Ghost In My House"
 J. J. Barnes - "Sweet Sherry"

Detroit Emeralds - "And I Love Her"
The Shakers - "One Wonderful Moment"

 Otis Redding - "Satisfaction"
 Larry Williams - "Bony Moronie"
