and you are so clever, markie.  well, you would be happy to know that i have officially yanked "The Music" out of rotation on my ever-skipping 200 disc CD player at home last night (dont ever buy one of those).

But i did replace it with Cursive's first CD.

 setlist:
 01 2+2=5
 02 sit down. stand up
03 where i end and you begin
04 kid a ("This is, um, one of our happy songs.")
 05 backdrifts
06 lurgee ("We don't often play songs from our first record. There are many reasons for this. Not gonna tell you any of 'em.")
07 morning bell ("Now, kids, I'm gonna tell you a story...")
 08 my iron lung
 09 i might be wrong
 10 sail to the moon
 11 paranoid android
 12 a punchup at a wedding
 13 go to sleep
 14 the gloaming
 15 idioteque
 16 no surprises
 17 there there

 Encore #1:
 18 you and whose army?
 19 the national anthem
 20 wolf at the door
21 how to disappear completely ("Thank you. Thankyouthankyouthankyou...")

 Encore #2:
 22 airbag (dedicated to Supergrass)
23 everything in its right place

thats really great that they played something form Pablo Honey....very cool.
and you may have hit on the only thing negative, thier set list seemed to be mish moshed together, not as much flow as i expected.

Well you're memory, excuse my french ladies, sucks dick. I jump into discussions regarding bands or topics that I like. Or, I start one of my own, either with questions or attempting to promote good music. Whatever Bombay Doors is doing, at least he's not randomly jumping threads talking shit, which is what some people seem to be up to of late.

I'll give you that - Lurgee was a welcomed surprise, but the show had no flow.  And there were sound problems throughout.

She did.  But then again she studies to their last 3 albums because "they're not a distraction" so maybe she feels the same way.  She did not enjoy Yorke's quiverring/dancing (whatever he calls it).

My point is, if they play High and Dry, Karma Police, Fake Plastic Trees, and Creep, then when do they play How To Disappear, You and Whose Army, Idioteque, and Android AND play most of the new stuff, which IMHO is WAY better than anything off Pablo Honey or the Bends.  (i'm gonna get killed for that right?)

I dont like REM so much, but if i had to pick a better album out of the two, i have never heard Up.  so there.

I think the problem is, Radiohead kind of completely turned into another band altogether...some will not like the new Radiohead, others will like them no matter what, and other will like them more.  I am in the last group of that...doesnt mean i am wrong.

Well, they do , they played Creep, No Surprises and Paranoid Android at Merriweather. Street Spirit, Karma Police, and Fake Plastic Trees in Wisconsin.  They played My Iron Lung and Nice Dream in NJ.

anyway, you can see on ateaseweb that not one of thier sets were the same on any night.

All bands do that.  REM is a classic example.  But a better example would be U2.  Series one (Boy-October-War-Unforgetable Fire)  Series Two (Joshua Tree - Rattle and Hum)  Series Three (Auchtung-Zoorpoa-Popmart) Series Four (ATYCLB).

During Series three, they were trying to desperately to get away from Series one and two, so they played only 6-7 songs in a 20 song set off of their first 5 albums, but they rotated 2-3 of them so it was always different.  And they changed up the way some of the songs were played to fit with the new direction of the band.  They didn't just ignore them all together the way Radiohead has.  I'm fine with them wanting to play new stuff but asking for some old stuff doesn't make us wrong either.

when i saw U2 on Achtung Baby, they played a lot of old stuff, much more than Radiohead does.
I think they should play more old stuff...i was more commenting on the people who dont seem to like Radiohead anymore, not people asking for more old stuff at live shows
