I really like their stuff...very similar to the Cure in places.

i don't really have much of an opinion on the black kids, but i thought  this article (http://idolator.com/tunes/you.ve-got-to-be-kidding/an-idolator-real-talk-special-report-the-black-kids-hype-must-be-stopped-313517.php) was a pretty good rundown on the perils of blog culture.

I agree with Booker re: that article.

They do have a few catchy songs but the blog hype is out of hand.

I heard they're not even really black kids.

Best line:

[F]orcing kids without the chops or songs into the hard-touring, hard-interviewing, hard-pressed-to-come-up-with-material spotlight.

I started into music blogs for about 2 months before I realized it was just a "who's cooler than who" in the breaking of new bands. Now, I can't remember the last time I actually read a strictly music blog.

I may not hear about the newest bands as quickly as they break, but at least I don't waste some of my time with half-baked trends.
