Title: Elbow Roll Call
Post by: brennser on April 25, 2008, 09:50:00 am: So I can't be the only one salivating at the prospect of seeing Elbow live? Who's going? And whats the story with 6th and I? Seated? GA? Worth getting there early? Can you drink?

i believe that 6th and I is both seated and GA - so arrive early & grab a good bench. there is also a balcony in case you want a bird's-eye view.

GA, and seated - first come first serve for the seats. No alcohol in the venue though - however, you're around the corner from Fado/RFD/everything else in that corridor.

The 6th and I box office told me that the whole show was GA, but maybe the person I spoke to was mistaken. Doors at 8, show at 8:30.

It is all GA - didn't mean to imply otherwise. Just that the seats are on a first come first serve basis.

What they said. Unbelievable. No Fugitive Motel but thats just being persnickety. To sit there and listen to his amazing voice soar around the synagogue was something I won't forget for a while.

Hopefully they keep their promise and come back in the autumn.

After also seeing The Eels there about a month ago, another excellent show (though not as good as the Eels/Smoosh show at the 9:30 a couple of years ago--the best show I've ever seen, no kidding), I agree with the poster who says every show should be at Sixth and I (or the 9:30 Club!--they're forcing me to say that).
