Winter in the Hamptons...Josh Rouse
-
Talking of Winter, there is always the Matt Pond EP of Winter songs......
-
considering Josh Rouse, I havent liked much since Dressed Up Like Nebraska
already downloaded the Aeroplane Over The Sea track from WinterSongs
-
funny...i like all three of his most recent albums. Didn't carethat much for Nebraska when I heard a used copy, though didn't really give it a fair chance.

tried it, prefer Dan Bejar when it comes The New Pornographers
but keep em coming, would probably make a pretty good mix with plenty of Northern State!
;)

"pints of guinness make you stronger"
"baby, i'm an anarchist"
"sink, florida, sink"
by against me!
have no idea if they're on itunes, but these should definitely be checked out.

reeeally, i had not heard that ... good combination i think ... in the past they had been pigeonholed into the hardcore/anarchist punk scene, and they're so so so much more dynamic than that
i guess it says a lot about a band if you can have the blood brothers open for you, then do a split with lucero

Saved up 3 caps, got Ted Leo's Sharkbite Sessions:
1) Loyal to my Sorrowful Country
2) Six Months in a Leaky Boat (Split Endz cover)
3) Suspect Device (Stiff Little Fingers cover)
They're all full band versions. Pretty good overall, Suspect Device is missing something, possibly a slower pace than they play in concert.

Wonderfalls Theme by Andy Partridge
"Soap Disco" - Kara's Flowers
Jason Falkner - Bliss Desending EP
"helena" - My Chemical Romance :D

From the Sunday NY Times:
My Chemical Romance
Emo is in its own slump (after the feeding frenzy of 2003), but someone forgot to tell this wild-eyed New Jersey band, which just released yet another absurd video for yet another grand, death-obsessed love song. In "Helena" (watch it at www.mychemicalromance.com (http://www.mychemicalromance.com)), the singer Gerard Way presides over a carefully choreographed punk-rock wake: a church full of mourners twirl and tumble in time to the frantic beat.

Good to hear they have good taste.

i'm guessing you already have dibs on DJing the new found glory show?
-
no... because no matter how hard i try to slog my way through a warped or take action sampler, i ended pounding my head on the decks wondering why they even call it punk anymore. rancid wrote the last good punk songs and that ain't saying much...

I have a handful of those codes but dont ue itunes. Anyone want them?
-
I'll take them... Kosmette uses them to recreate old mix tapes people gave her. And there are actually a couple of tracks I'm mildly interested in.
Marc Romboy vs Blake Baxter
Charlotte Hatherley (Ash guitarist)
-
I ended up downloading the first track off of the Josh Rouse album (liked the sample of that better), I like it, but not sure I am ready to buy the album, it is 11.99 at olssons by the way, got the new Wedding Present instead
-

I give mine to the mrs too. I'm too embarrassed to tell you what she buys with them, but at least I don't have to stand in line at Amoeba with the CD's I purchase for her any longer.

Actually, it's "grating", followed by "awful", "tuneless" and "utter waste of time".
Pull up M. Ward's name and get either Sweetheart on Parade or Big Boat. "Transistor Radio" is a great record (especially if yer a Sparklehorse fan).
Or pull up Brazilian Girls and get "Pussy". It's a tune everyone can enjoy.

I'd recommend The Sound of German Hip-Hop from the new Clem Snide
Also liking several tracks I downloaded by The Ponys
