Excellent, thank you for posting.

thanks shemp!

I like this a lot so far. Seems much stronger than Easy Tiger...but I always need some time with Ryan Adams albums.
However, first listen seems a lot more interesting, and a little less constrained than Easy Tiger was.

On Letterman 10/29.

You guys do realize that Ryan swiped his whole schtick from Gram Parsons, right? Though Ryan's much less talented and innovative.
And if you want to get something in the same vein by someone who can sing circles around Ryan and isn't a self-absorbed twat, check out this album by Thad Cockrell: http://www.amazon.com/Warmth-Beauty-Thad-Cockrell/dp/B0000C0FHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1224760260&sr=8-1 (http://www.amazon.com/Warmth-Beauty-Thad-Cockrell/dp/B0000C0FHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1224760260&sr=8-1)

I think that Parsons criticism doesn't really apply that often. You can say that about a record like Jacksonville City Nights, but otherwise he's mixed it up enough.
Love is Hell kinda sounds like Jeff Buckley. Cold Roses has a Grateful Dead vibe. A bunch of songs off Demolition kinda sound like the Replacements. Not saying he's the most original dude ever, but every Ryan Adams record has at least a few amazing songs. The new one is a grower.

also, i wouldn't be shocked if there's a "suprise at the club" ryan adams gig near the oasis date. i'm just speculating though.
-
if i could make music that sounded like gram parsons i would too

ryan & the cardinals are playing the apollo theater in NYC on 10/31. show sold out immediately.

the last ryan adams show at DAR was boring overall... He was great solo when he toured for Heartbreaker...I like his recorded stuff up to Love is Hell...
the new songs sound good so far, though.
