Title: Favorite Happy Hours / Deals
Post by: HoyaSaxa03 on December 02, 2007, 11:22:00 pm
as this stuff changes all the time, it would be nice to have a thread where people post their favorites

i just found out that liberation dance party (fridays @ dc9) is open bar from 9:00pm - 10:30pm after paying $6 cover (i really got my $$ worth there this weekend)

a long-time favorite:  half-priced belgian beers at l'enfant cafe in adams morgan from 4:30pm - 7:30pm on tuesdays

this event at the O Street Mansion (http://www.omansion.com/about/) looks pretty cool (the O Street Mansion is easily one of the coolest / most ridiculous places in the city):

Grey Goose Martinis, wine tasting and dinner
 Every Monday: 5:30-8 p.m
 $35/person through November
 $40/person through December
Price includes unlimited beverages, cheese, vegetable basket, and full dinner.

I've been meaning to check this out. Does it include beer or is it just rail liquor?

I usually don't make it out in time for happy hour. But I find that if you're a regular, most bartenders will hook you up....

Any happy hour that includes free chicken wings is ok in my books.

It's not "cool"--but if you're hungry and thirsty the McCormick and Schmick's happy hour has $2 burgers and I think $3 for three oyster shooters, among opther deals. It's not great food or anything, but if you've got $10 you can get drunk and full.

Hoya thinks all chains are shit, so I don't think that's what he's looking for!   :D

Soussi, the hookah place in Adams Morgan, has half-priced beers (which include Stella, Hoegaarden, and Leffe Blonde) from 5-7:30 on M-F.

it's really an incredible place, hard to put into words, but unlike anything you'd expect when you look at the outside ... be sure to walk around the various themed rooms, there's some really cool stuff

EDIT:  this (http://www.omansion.com/about/nationalg.pdf) is 7 years old, but it doesn't look like much has changed
