Post by: Bags on March 08, 2006, 07:09:00 pm: Okay, there was a presale for the April 4 show at 9:30 yesterday -- little discussion of it here (on the relative spectrum of presale hysteria).

The show is announced in the weekly email, with a 4 ticket limit. Does this imply they believe this show is gonna sell out fast as lightning?!?!

Also, do sales begin tomorrow at the box office? (It's not on tickets.com now.)

Wondering what the peanut gallery thinks.

Post by: Darth Ed on March 09, 2006, 03:56:00 am: I got my ticket during the presale. I didn't want to take the chance that it might sell out, even though I'll be at the club on Friday for the Pogues show.

For what it's worth, the presale definitely didn't sell out instantaneously like the Pogues or B&S. There were still tickets available at 10:10 or so, I believe. (I think the presale started at 10am, not 9:30am as posted above by Bags.)

;) I meant that the presale was for the April 4 show at THE 9:30 CLUB yesterday, not at 9:30 in the a.m..... Sometimes we assume folks know when and where these shows are gonna be as we dive right in to our discussions.

I hope not! I'm picking up tickets at tommorrow night's Pogues show.....bought the new Neko at Tower last night on sale for $9.99...pretty damn good pricing for Tower,I think it's cheaper than Amazon...

Tough, but if you get there early enough and spend the entire night at Antone's you can see her...of course the problem is if you have any artists you want to check out Friday night at other venues and you don't have a badge, you may be SOL. Of course if you have a badge, it will be much easier..

Every artist of any noteworthiness, or buzz or hype is packed beyond belief. And seeing as how if my memory serves me correctly, Neko has only performed at an official SXSW show once in the last 5 years (though I think there was a New Porno show in there one year) this will be a much anticipated show...

Have a Shiner-bock for me down there will ya?
