Who would thought a christmas single on the radio would be a career killer:

It was rather good for Bob & Doug McKenzie (http://www.losergeek.org/~niklas/bobanddoug.com/old/GreatWhiteNorth/Bob_and_Doug_McKenzie_-_15_-_Twelve_Days_of_Christmas.mp3), though.

How New Order survived this I'll never know... might also make hutch question his fandom

Also, a career maker. Reports claim that Mariah makes $2.5 million per year for that one song.

NEW ORDER provide their fans with a little holiday music for patrons of the Hacienda this Christmas eve.
They've recorded a special flexi of “Rocking Carol” and their version of Beethoven's “Freude Schoener Gotterfunken (Song of Joy).” Only 4,400 were pressed up by Factory Records and all were given away in a rubber stamped bad that also had a party hat, some streamers, a bit of candy and a whistle. Although the band is not identified on the label, it does say, “Merry Xmas and Good Will
to All Members."
