oooh, how was triplets of belleville? i'd like to see that.
I've not seen much lately, rented "American Splendor" the other nite

wonderful movie. mostly done with traditional animation, but also has scenes integrating cg and live action. funny and sad at he same time, rather like jean-pierre jeunet doing a cartoon.
another neat clip, french music video (http://www.amazing.fr/jcombe/downloads-fersen.html), with a combination of different animation techniques.

cool, the boyfriend and i were on our way to see it, but then we realized we were poor. payday is tomorrow, maybe i can talk him into going again.

Going to see the Triplets of Belleville this evening. Thx for posting the trailer.
I'm very lucky to have a very cool - one large classic room - theatre close by that only shows these type of flix.
Bubba Ho-Tep finishes a run there this weekend - Triplets takes it's place.
If you like Bruce Campbell you gotta see Bubba HT. It's so much more than a horror B movie. Not gonna win any oscars..but it'll make you smile. :D

saw triplets of belleville this evening...i normally don't like animation, but i really enjoyed this...did not enjoy the group sitting behind me gabbing the entire time about the correlations between the film and french society...shut up people, or i will throw my icee at you...i wish i had..too much sugar too late at nite, and now i am awake bouncing around my house

what tripped me out was when the old lady runs across the triplets in "new york" or whatever. they start doing slave hymnn/rythyms and then give each other jive high-fives. wtf!?! never mind the fishing for frogs...there are so many details to the movie that are exceptional. i'm prolly going to see it again, especially since i missed the 10 min short that played before it.

yeah, the frogs were weird...my question is, if everyone in belleville is fat, why weren't the triplets?

I thought the depiction of the dog was brilliant.

saw the film yesterday, too, and thought it was just great. in vino veritas indeed....
