i am attending a party at a bar and going as one of the revenge of the nerds. can't wait. anyone else with golly geezie great plans?
-
Going to a party up yonder dressed as Tippy Hendren from the Birds.
-
Me - Billy Ray Cyrus
GF - Hannah Montana
We figure if we make out at the party it'll make everyone really uncomfortable.
-
My daughter is going as a bear. She already puked on the outfit and couldn't stand the face makeup the first time it was applied. So Helloween should be a real blast.
-
i promise sarah palin will be the most played out costume this year. i was joe gibbs last year but no ideas for this year.
-
Me The Joker
Lady friend Harley Quinn
-
sorry dfa1979, but i feel the joker is the one to battle palin as the most seen.
-
Weird...I usually wait until late into Halloween to start yakking on my costume :)
My wife and I were going to go as dead Bonnie & Clyde, but 1) we're too busy at work to get it together, and 2) we've got nowhere to go :(

funny you should wonder about that - someone posted this earlier today:

palin costumes fall under the "failed irony" category.
ladies walking around in bars, in lingerie... and people wonder why halloween is my favorite holiday of the year.

Daughter: Witch
Son: Stormtrooper

President Palin and the ghost of John McCain. It will scare your socks off...
-

i may be dragged out this year, so i'm gonna attempt "gary busey's dog."
-
i'm trying to dress up as a mad scientist (aka dr horrible) but have had a 'horrible' time finding the type of labcoat i need (the type that buttons on the side)

go down and check out the picture of the black guy/white guy holding the "yes we carve" pumpkin. they are from an area of Washington St. close to snoqualmie valley where twin peaks was shot . . . and his name is philip jefferies. the long lost fbi agent played by david bowie in fire walk with me. creepy.
-
i'm going to wear all blue and say i'm the state of arizona or possibly dress up as a presbyterian sunday school teacher
-
I am going as Palin, but i'm a 6'3 guy with no boobs and heals.
And while i do live in dupont, this would be my first time in women's clothing...

I'm going to be a cowboy for trick or treating with the baby cousins. (Not a whore cowboy costume, a fully clad one with a mustache. I did the whore one at Virgin Festival earlier this year. HA! HA! dear lord.)
My other plans for Halloween fell apart. anyone with any ideas/suggestions? I'd really like to do something, it's my favourite holiday and I never get to do anything for it...
-
Halloween should be a time for unbridled debauchery, and unfortunately this year I am not privy to any such opportunties :(

just in case you're serious about what you wrote, i'll repeat myself: there was nothing wrong with what you wore, as far as the pictures let on. so you showed a little extra leg - it's a fricken outdoor rock festival and it was 103 degrees. rock on.

ottobar is where i'll be spending my halloween.

I already have a developmentally disabled prop baby to go with the costume. I need a dead moose.
-
until recently, i had access to a stuffed moose head. wish i'd known there would be a need for it.

You never know when you'll need a stuffed moose head!

I came to work dressed as an aged hipster...
unwashed bedhead hair, funky glasses, black satin-y shirt ove a black t-shirt, boot cut jeans, black motorcycle boots, and undersized penis.

And there's the simple zinger line I sat here for 2-3 minutes trying to think up but couldn't.
Damn it!

i agree, she would seem intolerant towards bedhead
-
She only gets to see my bedhead on weekend, as I'm out the door by 6am and she's usually still sleeping.
But i'll make sure to share the costume with her tonight....

Is that funny or just scary? It's very worrying to see this Obama cult spreading. I'm hoping it's just an excuse for the white pc brigade to feel all warm and fuzzy about voting for a black man, but I fear it's something much deeper......mass suicide should he lose???
You all realize that if he was white he'd just be a socialist left wing nut-job and wouldn't have gotten past the primaries don't you???

If by "mass suicide" you mean "all out race war."

I ended up going as a guy with a fucked-up knee who can barely walk.
PS - Skeletal, is it really necessary to infuse every thread with your ill-informed emotion-based commentary?

i might say the same for Julian. its like "this election shouldn't be about race!" yet they mention it every time they speak of it.
i suppose everyone's become obsessed with Obama in some form or another.

What the heck are you talking about? I haven't mentioned his race at all.

but you mentioned race. better yet, a race war if Obama were to be defeated. i'm just saying, everytime someone else bring race up at all, its just making the whole thing moreso about just that.

I don't feel like having a long discussion about this at this time, but just because I acknowledge that race affects people's decisions (some of both Obama and McCain supporters) doesn't mean I think it should. It would be nice if no one mentioned race and as a result race wouldn't matter, but that's an absurdly naive view. Not mentioning the racial undertones of this election (or the OJ trial, or a million other things) doesn't diminish the influence of race, it simply leaves a huge white elephant in the room.
-
i wouldnt dare try changing your mind about anything Julian! just keep doing what you're doing.

Just so I'm clear on your position: the election is only "about race" or race is only a factor in an election if people talk about race, correct?

strange, now that halloween is over and everyone has their fun or faux pas memories to hold on to, and we can now get to my interesting issue at hand. this strange "obsession" dvd i got in the mail awhile ago. is it propaganda of a political agenda, a supposed terror watchdog group attempt to inform this country of the truth? that is what i felt from the start. then i watched it all the way through and it became strange. the references were a tad spooky. not the kind of film where you become a drop dead on your spot believer of preserving their "truth" handed out in an one hour presentation. i hate living in this era where we know media is controlled and bias, perhap bought and sold as commodity, and you cannot decide real fact from the inspired line. but the comparisons in this thing to the past were spooky. that's all i'll say about it, because it has to be one the most controversial "films" i've seen in a while. strange.
-
Never heard of it. Do you have anymore info on it or a link? Sounds interesting.

In the meantime, I wandered upon a photo of Rhett and Celeste once he got home from work:

I was actually shocked I didn't see ANY Jokers last night. I saw this couple on U dressed as Meg and Jack White, awesome, they said I was the 14th Joker they had seen that night.
And I didn't see a single Palin! I was SO pissed!

I saw a Sarah Palin who looked quite genuine and she was doing a pole dance on a street pole.
most popular contest in Baltimore last night: Micheal Phelps!

I didn't post the original link so go fuck yourself douchebag....and I'd say I'm rather well informed having had Obama rammed down my throat by way of brainwashed zombies knocking on my door every fucking day and his mug transmitted over the airwaves by the left wing media, not to mention his cheesie 30 minute infomercial.
Oh, and I'll make your response for you......BAAAAAAAAA
...and everything in America is about race, take it from a foriegner. If this election is not about race why are you a racist if you don't like his policies but not racist for the black community to overwhemingly vote for him regardless of his policies?

and here i thought everybody had heard of this darn thing by now. they tout the "film" on the "film" as the greatest thing to watch since the goonies and big trouble in little china. here's a link to it on youtube. i'm sure there are countless other websites dedicated to it on the internet. you know i was just reading the greatest, "75 most influential people of the 21st century" interviews/articles in esquire's 75th anniversary issue -- rupert murdoch, jeff koons, michael govan, gao xiqing, mukesh ambani, elon musk, bernard arnault, jim webb, steve jobs are the best so far. get the issue, even if you don't like esquire.

haaa I'm just making fun of myself. And all those women who take Halloween as an opportunity to dress like a hooker, which I have never understood. Who the hell sits around and imagines Dorothy in a mini skirt? Nevermind don't answer that.
Anyways, I was a badass sheriff, seriously. I want to dress like that everyday, I totally turned myself on. I want a real mustache so bad.
